Always on the lookout for bargains thesedays I saw that in Asda they were selling the range of VO5 shampoos and conditioners for £1 each. These usually cost £2 each, so I thought I would buy this and try. If I didn't like - fair enough, if I did, then I would stock up on a few more before the offer ended.
Having hi lighted hair I perhaps should always use Shampoos that help with colour lasting, stops the colour fading and so on, but I tend to stay away from products like this as they are normally expensive and i'd heard a few horror stories from other people using colour protect products.
The bottle design of this isn't that special. It is a deep red colour and has the label stuck onto the bottle. All the bottle is dark apart for a white line that runs up the bottle. Not that eye catching and pretty to be honest. Could do better VO5! The bottle size is 300ml.
The shampoo is a gel and you only need a small amount to lather up since the gel is thick, so you get a lot of goes from this bottle. The gel is clear. It has a nice clean, fresh airy smell to it and you can smell the scent on your hair the next day quite strongly.
I'm not sure if this does help fade, as my hair seems to just be the same as before. It did make my hair very soft and it put a nice shine on my hair, which with blonde hi lights it often doesn't look that shiney. I would buy again certainly for the price and if they claim it can help with colour fade, I would like to believe them that it does!
