VO5 Hot Oil Moisture Soak
Advantages: Hair appears healthier, looks shiny and is silky soft!
Disadvantages: A little pricey
VO5 Moisture Soak Hot Oil Treatment leaves hair looking and feeling vitally alive with Active Shine Boosters and a blend of 5 Vitamins to moisturise and protect dry or damaged hair.
-- Reasons for buying --
After constant use of heat appliances and colouring my hair became very dry and damaged. As I didn't want to cut my hair to get rid of the split ends I wanted something that would make my hair appear and look much healthier. So when I was in Boots I picked up these Alberto V05 Hot Oil Treatments.
-- Packaging --
You receive 4 x 15ml transparent tubes which contain the hot oil. They come in a blue cardboard box with the name of the product and the V05 logo on the front. On the back you are presented with some simple directions of use and the ingredients in the hot oil. The dispenser is fairly simple, they is a tab at the top which you twist and then pull off, this protect the hot oil from leakages.
-- Applying the product --
The hot oil is very easy to use. I place the tube in a glass of hot water and leave in there for a few minutes. You use this product on wet hair before continuing to shampoo and condition. Once hair is wet I remove the tab and evenly distribute the oil all over my hair, making sure to cover the ends which need the most moisture. It says to leave on for a minute which you can either count in your head or have a stop watch handy. After I thoroughly rinse from my hair and continue to shampoo and condition.
I like to do this and leave a hair mask on after rinsing out the shampoo to achieve better results. I tend to do this from once a week to every other week.
-- Positives --
I found this product very good, it really added moisture to my hair and made my split ends much less noticeable. My hair was soft, silky and shiny which is exactly what I wanted. I have been using these for the past 6 months and my its made such a big difference to how healthy my hair is and is really good especially if you dye or use hot appliances regularly. The tubes contain just the right amount of hot oil to cover my entire hair and I have fairly long hair so I was very pleased that I could make these last me a month and not have to use two at a time. I noticed results with these just after the first use and it has given me long lasting results.
-- Negatives --
I suppose the only negative I would have about these is the price, even though it may seem a small price to pay and is definitely worth the price I would like there to be either more tubes in a pack or to be a little less pricey!
-- Price and Availability --
You can find these in most drugstores and supermarkets and a lot of online websites. They average at about £3- £4 doesn't seem like a lot but for me it is quite expensive, especially if someone had very long hair you would have to use more of the product to cover it.
-- Conclusion --
I absolutely love this hot oils and would definitely recommend them. My hair appears much healthier and feels so much nicer! Use these to keep your hair in tip top condition! May be a little bit pricey but there are always offers on such as half price, which is the time when I stock up on them!
Summary: Great product for great results!
