You know when your hair needs some attention... Mine was definately in need of some recently. Having dyed and highlighted my hair a few times over the past couple of years, it was beginning to look a bit dull and dry. You know the signs - you use good shampoo and conditioner, you dry your hair and even though you use protecting lotions and a low heat, your hairdryer still leaves your hair looking kind of frizzy...very annoying. The only solution being to use hair spray/gel or some similar product to smooth down those hairs that don't want to settle down - this then leaves your hair flat without body and it gets greasy quickly. So what can you do? ... Read the complete review

At the moment I seem to be buying pretty much any hair care product I can lay my hands on to try and intensively reconditioned my newly frazzled locks after having my hair 'professionally' highlighted at the hairdressers last week... One old favourite sprang immediately to mind on a recent shopping mini-expedition to Wilkos in search of de-frizzing solutions - Alberto-Culver's 'V05 Hot Oil Moisture Soak' - priced at £1.06 per individual splinter-packed sachet. Back in the day when perms were all the rage in the 80's, I used to regularly treat my hair to a good old fashioned sixty second soak with this warmed up liquid oil...and very effective it was ... I bought this after reading a few positive reviews on it on here. I currently have blonde highlights in my hair which I re-do about every month, and on top of this I use straightners each day so I do need to give my hair a treat every now and then. I actually found these really hard to find, I looked in a big Boots store and the smaller Boots store and couldn't see anything! In the end I found it in Superdrug for £4.20 for 4 tubes. This may sounds quite expensive for something you will only get 4 uses out of, but its a lot cheaper than other brands version of it which I have seen for more around £6-7. I'm not sure why Boots don't sell them, I thought they were quite ... Read the complete review

This is a hot oil treatment from the makers VO5. The new version is out and so I thought I would buy it for my daughter. She has very long hair and so when I saw this new one called Moisture Soak I thought I would give it a try. Especially as my daughter swims almost daily and I saw that this conditioner removes 75% more chlorine than shampooing alone. It claims to reconstructs damaged hair in 1 minute. The packaging is very nice. There is a cardboard outer box with information. In the box there are 4 individual tubes of the hot oil each of which contains 15ml of oil. They are packaged in plastic and have a very easy to remove twist lid. The product ... Read the complete review
