I get through alot of shampoo with my hair being really long and me being a complete clean freak and insisting to wash my mop every day is why when I recently spotted this particular shampoo on offer in Asda at a pound a bottle I decided to try it out. Being called invigorating got me intrigued too!
The bottle is green plastic and holds 300ml of the shampoo and to the top of it it has a flip-top lid concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle I am told that it is Alberto Vo5 Sheer Vitality Elixir 'With White tea' and that it is 'Infused with 5 vital oils', Invigorating Shampoo 'Everyday use for normal hair' and the size is stated (as I've listed already). On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, the ingredients are listed and contact details for Alberto-Culver (the manufacturer of the product) are stated. Nice enough and informative bottle this is and unisex in its appearance too in my opinion.

This shampoo is rather runny and transparent/clear. It has a sort of sea fresh sort of aroma to it to me with a hint of sweetness but it really is very refreshing fragrance wise.
All you do to use this is of course is damp/wet hair first, lather rinse and repeat (if required) as you would do with any other type of shampoo of course!
You don't need very much of this shampoo at all and it lathers up with total ease whilst feeling hydrating whilst its being used. It doesn't feel one bit oily and it rinses out with total ease so this is a very straightforward shampoo to use.
This leaves my hair feeling clean, not weighed down at all and full of life. The fragrance lingers on my hair for a good few hours too and this increases my shine and makes my hair feel strong and full of vitality. I wouldn't really say it invigorates my scalp or hair but it is a decent shampoo and one I feel that is economical and perfect for every day use!
Can be found in all good supermarkets etc and of not on offer at about £1.50 a bottle.

I will buy my shampoo & conditioner based on what is on offer at whatever supermarket I am doing my shopping at when I am running low. The shampoo that I brought last was this V05 elixir and I believe I got 4 bottles of shampoo and/or condition for just £3 which was just too cheap to resist and obviously prompted me to buy 2 shampoo and 2 conditioner.
The bottle is a green colour with a green flip top lid and the bottle is designed to be stood on it's bottom which is a little annoying as I prefer a bottle on it's lid at all times so that the product is always waiting to be used. However, once I flip open this lid it only takes a seconds for the shampoo to flow down and through the dispenser hole. I don't get too much shampoo in one go and this is ideal for when the little ones are doing their own hair washing trying to be independent. I normally use a 50 pence piece sized amount of shampoo on my medium length hair. I find this is enough to give my hair a rich, thick lather and to cover the whole of my head in the lather.
This shampoo lathers well and it gives a rich, thick lather. The lather is easy to rub all over my hair and with just a splash of water or applying to soaking wet hair I can wash my hair in just a few seconds. I leave the lather on my hair for a few minutes before I rinse it off and only on one occasion have I needed to re-wash my hair and that was when I had been particularly hot and sweaty over the previous day working out at the gym and then my hair was greasy and horrible so it needed a re-wash just to get rid of the last of the greasiness that I could still feel on my hair.
My hair is left lovely and smooth after use and even from the first use I could notice that this was working well with my hair and was helping me to keep it in tip top condition. I was very pleased with how soft and clean my hair was after using this shampoo and considering I spent such a low price on it I was pleasantly surprised with how my hair feels even after quite a few weeks of use.
I would definitely recommend this shampoo if you are on a budget and when I have been shopping around to buy this again I haven't found it for this bargain price again, instead it's either half price or buy one get one free with the usual price being around £2.30. I would happily buy shampoo & conditioner for this price but there are always so many products to try that I probably won't end up buying it again in the future! I love to try new products whenever I can.
I normally stick to the same Shampoos and Conditioners but I have used VO5 before, and found it to be an ok Shampoo. Just now in Asda most of the range is on offer for £1 per 250ml bottle, so I picked up a bottle of this one for a change. I quite like the Blonde Shampoo from this range but I had never tried this one.
The bottle is alright. It is a sturdy plastic bottle with a flip top lid. Easy enough to open. It is the same greeny colour as the Dooyoo picture with a sticky label on the front and back of the bottle. Not colourful or anything.
This is a Gel Shampoo and quite thick at that as well. You only need a little blob which gives a good lather.
The Shampoo has a nice fresh scent, sort of an airy scent but with a splash of a sort of Fruity scent. Not much scent to this, but it smells clean so that's good for me.
This washes my hair fine, and washes out well enough. I can't say if this gives any more body or that to my hair as mines is sort of lighter and fluffier when first washed anyway and when it has been straightened then it seemed much the same. It was nice and shiny without being heavy.
This was a nice enough Shampoo. Nothing special and nothing i've not seem from any other Shampoos but it is at a goof price just now and worth a try even for that matter only.
I have been using the Charles Worthington dream hair shampoo for quite a while and then I found the availability really hard to get (due to rebranding) and while the price had stayed the same the size had reduced. I was quite upset about this and while I always felt that the dream hair shampoo worked very well for me I did not hesitate to snap up this Alberto VO5 sheer vitality elixir shampoo when I spotted 2 300ml bottles on buy one get one free. I paid just £2.12 for a 300ml bottle of shampoo & one of the conditioner and I have now been using them for around one month.
The bottle is quite sleek in design, it's a green colour, not too bold but a nice inoffensive shade. The bottle has a flat bottom so it can stand up on the side of my bath or on the ledge in the shower at the gym. There is a flip top lid and there is quite a large dispenser hole for the shampoo to be dispensed. The shampoo flows quite fast as well so I always take care when pouring this out and I find a 50p piece sized piece is enough for my shoulder length layered hair.
The first scent I can detect when I open this shampoo is quite a masculine smell. The shampoo smells a little bit fruity without having a citrus edge to it. There is a lovely scent to this and the shampoo runs clear which I like as it makes me feel like they haven't added loads of hideous products to change the colour (although they probably have!). The shampoo creates a fantastic lather as soon as I put it on my head and I need just the smallest amount of effort to create lots of bubbles that happily run all over my head. I can literally feel my hair being cleaned in just a few seconds when I start to rub the lather in. The lather has quite a luxurious feel to it and there is something lovely and smoothing about the bubbles. As soon as I rinse off the lather and give my hair a good rinse it is left squeaky clean (literally!) and I just finish off with a little blob of conditioner left on my hair for just a couple of minutes.
My hair is left look silky, smooth, clean and healthy. After a whole month of using this shampoo & conditioner it's fair to say that this product works very well for my thick, knotty hair and it's far more manageable than it is with some other brands that I have used in the past. I have quite sensitive scalp and I have not experienced any issues with this product at all.
If you are looking for a shampoo that is nice & fresh smelling and does not break the bank then I would definitely recommend this to you. The usual price for a 300ml bottle is around £2.12 in my local Sainsburys store and while this was on buy one get one free when I purchased mine it is now back on this offer and has been on 2 for £3.00 in between as well so I am going to buy this again once I run out and I will definitely wait for another buy one get one free offer as it's just too good to miss. I have now used about ½ of the bottle which I think is very reasonable considering I was my hair every second day.
One compliment I have received from my partner is that my hair smells lovely and this was when I had been ill and had not actually washed it for over 2 days. My hair did not turn greasy and horrible as it normally would and while I wanted to give it a wash because it was beginning to look a little bit messy I did find that it was still fine the following morning when I eventually got around to washing it.
