      a great shampoo

My hubby recieved this shampoo as a gift for christmas and thought it was great as he normally just pinches my shampoo and as i am a big fan of herbal essences and alberto balsam he usually ends up smelling father floral or fruity. Checking around this shampoo retails at around £6 a bottle so i dont think it will be something he will be getting again as this is rather expensive as hubby hasnt got a lot of hair any way.

It comes in a rather plain brown bottle with 250ml of shampoo, it says on the front of the bottle for normal to dry hair and my hubby does suffer with quite dry hair even though it is short and normally uses a conditioner aswell.

The shampoo is a nice consistency not too runny and doesnt smell feminin either so hubby was loving it already by this point, it contains wheat protein, sage extract and rice bran oil which is supposed to moisturise and condition your hair without weighing it down according to the bottle.

Well firstly it was easy to use and very easy to rinse out, it left his hair feeling more moist and looking as healthy as when he uses a conditioner, his hair didnt get greasy any quicker like i had expected it to and he didnt develop any dandruf so this was a very good shampoo which hubby loved as he didnt smell feminin and i loved as it meant my shampoo lasted longer.

I would recomend this to any man with dry hair, but maybe a bit longer hair than my hubby has

      read review!

Ok where to start, I first got this shampoo as my dad works as a pharmacist and one of the reps came in and gave him some samples of the shampoo. He really cant be bothered with handing all the freebies out to customers so normally he just takes them home for the family to use. At first glance I thought it was an ordinary shampoo for women until my sister was rejecting the sachets and giving them to me. On close inspection I saw that American crew was a company for male grooming. So without hesitation I took the sachets and that was it. I was fixed on a new shampoo. I am not a fussy person. I now have long hair but I normally don't use separate shampoos and products to make it look nice. I don't brush it or dry it so a shampoo like this would seem a weird choice for someone like me. But I do have very sensitive skin and am prone to lots of skin problems. So the moisturiser in this helps to keep all the natural oils in my hair but get rid of the grease that would cause skin problems on ma face etc.

      -American Crew-

American crew as you can guess is American. They have recognised that there is a big market for male grooming opening in the market now as lots more men are concerned about there appearance. They have also realised that there aren't lots of company's doing male grooming so have came out with a whole range of products. Since the market for male grooming products is growing more and more company's are coming out with male grooming ranges so the American crew company has been over looked by the big names like "loreal".

      - Appearance-

The shampoo comes in a standard 250ml bottle with a basic cap lid on the top. The bottle is a nice brown colour with a slight lighter shade in the middle. The logo for American crew is in the middle with the word Crew standing out more as it is in a much bigger font size. At the bottom it has a small description of the shampoo and on the back are the ingredients and all the usual stuff like company address etc.
Over all it is in quite a nice bottle and is easily recognizable on a shop shelf.

I won't list all the ingredients only the main ones as there is quite a lot in there. From a quick glance there are lots of weird natural chemicals in there but nothing that might trigger an allergic reaction. Here are the ingredients.(that I understand)
Sodium Laureate Sulfate (Source - Coconut Oil)
Lots and lots of weird chemicals
      Wheat Protein
      Bran Oil
Citric Acid Ok there are an awful lot more and I really can't stress how complicated the words are so I wont even write them down.

      - Good for your hair? -

This shampoo is good for your hair. It has lots of ingredients to maintain the natural oils in your hair. It leaves you with a soft and gentle feeling to your hair. It also makes it nice to touch. Its so smooth I don't need to use the conditioner. People think I use conditioner on my hair as it is so soft but I have to repeatedly tell them I don't.

This is the only downfall. Its not that expensive but for me it is a bit. It is priced at around £6-£7 pounds at supermarkets. I don't know why I am complaining about price as my parents buy it but my dad gets it free from his shops anyway. So if you are looking at this shampoo it may be a little expensive but its is on sale often at super drug.

This is a great shampoo for men. It is good for your hair and isn't at all bad. Well apart from the price. But who cares I love this shampoo and use it all the time. I would hate to have to go back to the normal shampoos without all the added goodness of this.
I think American crew has really got to what they aimed for.
A male grooming range for the appearance concerned man.

It really works for dry lifeless hair.

Now that I've seen how useful American Crew products can be and discovered them - I was inclined to try this Daily Moisturizing Shampoo.

I have very dry hair, which is millions of split ends, it's always a matt colour, there is no shine at all and look really unhealthy. So this shampoo seemed like the answer I was looking for.

        The Shampoo

I believe this is only designed for men - but I could be wrong. I purchased it from a website boasting about its male grooming products.

This cost me £7.99 for a 250ml bottle.

The bottle itself (like all other American Crew products) is a sleek brown bottle that has its name stamped over it. the shampoo smells like heaven! I've found this with all products from these guys, the smell is just sublime.

        Using The Shampoo

As the name suggests it's designed for everyday use for best results. I use it everyday in the evening. I put a small amount onto my hand and apply it onto my damp hair, it lathers up really well - so don't put too much on. I work it into my roots with my fingertips.

It washes out really well, and you can feel the difference right away, your hair feels really smooth and rich. And not the straw like texture mine had before.

After using this shampoo for over a month now, I can truly say its worked wonders for me. My hair is rich with volume, and healthy. It has life and fullness - it always has a really good healthy shine to it. I am 100% happy with the results it's given me. I couldn't ask for anything more. Well maybe a conditioner!
