      For Slick to Messy Hair!

If you haven't already you should check out my VO5 texturing gum review and American Crew Fibre review.

American Crew are not particularly well known in the UK in comparison to brands like VO5. For this reason i saw it as a must review to try to open people horizons about them. The company make the product in the USA but are based in Barcelona, Spain. This explains why people in the UK don't see this on the shelves in Boots and Superdrug etc. American Crew do a range of products for hair with varying levels of hold and shine.

The POMADE product is designed for messy or sleek styles, less refined (like the Fibre). This product is medium hold and high shine. I used this product previously but i decided against the Madmen style of hair. As i mentioned before, I use gels/gums/pomades etc. to swish my hair to one side. This medium hold doesn't hold my hair in place for the whole day but does leave you the ability to play with your hair (running hands through etc.). The level of shine is also nice, when i apply this to damp/towel dried hair as the moisture leaves my hair it does leave the gel slightly crusty but after a quick brush the hair resumes.

When you open the pot you see a transparent gel. The amount you use is of course dependant on the amount of hair you are moulding. Most people will probably need small amounts because when you rub your hands together with it in it goes a long way. Like the Fibre the gel smells nice, not a fruit scent but sweet none the less.

If you are after the slightly wet look, pliable hair then try this! Maybe purchase the smaller pot of 50g/1.75Oz to try which sell for around £7.

American Crew products vary in such a way that there is the correct product for everyone. The products container isn't the standard metal tin its actually a brown plastic tub that looks really nice. Because of the colour tub the gel looks dark until you take some out.

Drop me a comment if you want to know what would work for you or if you have any other questions, even things I have missed out!

      Thanks for reading!
