ok enoughs enough, American Crew is a male grooming company who specialise in hair care. Now I'm not an expert when it comes to shampoo's but have a little read about this:
Containing panama bark extract for natural cleansing, wheat protein for added shine and strength, and rosemary and thyme extracts that tone and moisturise the scalp, this daily shampoo is excellent for gentle cleansing and conditioning.
I'm confused? am I cooking my head or washing it? This shampoo cost £8 a bottle and in all fairness my hair felt no better than when I used "Wash and go" from the pound shop.....and I'm not kidding. Despite all the fancy ingredients your head will be exposed to, and the fact it smells quite pleasant, it still does what 1000 other much cheaper brands do.....clean your hair!
Please save you money.....unless your rich, in which case buy it, I will get immense joy in watching you, quite literally wash you money down the plug hole.
Sorry American Crew, but your not for me
You can buy American Crew Thickening Shampoo online for around £8. It isn't the cheapest shampoo on the market, but there are many more expensive products around.
Whilst aimed at men, i'm sure women would be able to use this product also, as it doesn't have an especially male aroma.
After applying this product, hair does feel thicker, and squeaky clean. It's quite light and doesn't feel like it's leaving too much build up on the hair which is a good thing. The secret ingredient is apparently the Glycerin which swells each hair strand.
There are a lot of natural products in this thickening shampoo, including rosemary, Green Tea, Coconut oil, sea salt and mint. Having said that, the shampoo can sting quite a bit if it gets in your eyes.
This is a good shampoo which actually does what it says. If you're a bald man - it won't make a difference to you're appearance, but hair does at least feel thicker.
I wanted a hair thickening product. So after lots of research I decided to go for American Crew. They have a name for professional hair grooming products - so they have a reputation in the grooming line for men. My expectations were high - so here iis my review after 1 month of use.
It comes in a stylish brown bottle which is 250ml it cost me £7.95 online from the official store. The lid is the standard flip top you get on most shampoo bottles these days.
Using it - the smell is just amazing, I was really impressed. It's the kind of smell which reminds you of the barbers, from a fresh haircut. I put a small amount into my hand and rubbed it into my wet hair working it in with my fingers all around evenly. It lathers up really nicely and again the smell just overwhelms you! So nice!
Results - I've been using this for about a month now and have noticed my hair thickening and becoming more straw like - I guess as this is a shampoo I also need some conditioner to go with it. I know American Crew do have a hair thickening shampoo which is designed to work alongside this but I cant seem to find it anywhere. All the stockists I have emailed all state it is either out of stock or it's really hard to get old of from the manufacturer.
This is an amazing product which works. It would be even better with conditioner but it's really hard to get hold of from American Crew. I guess you could use a different conditioner from another manufacturer but I'm not sure if it would complement well.
