Advantages: Works very well

Disadvantages: The consistency and application takes a little getting used to and my hair doesn't get more shiny

When it comes to buying products in general I have to admit to being led astray and buying things I don't actually need because of the name of them or nice looking packaging and this at Christmas time was one I bought cos I loved the name 'Angel Fish' and I'd never heard of it before lol! Never mind not needing it or anything and spending £4.99 in Boots on something I could live without... no not me, I wanted it and knew eventually I'd get round to using it so all was not really lost lol

The Packaging....

Metallic silver plastic squeezy tube with clear flip top lid situated at the bottom of it concealing a small hole of which you dispense the product out of, of course lol. On the front in black and bright pink writing I'm told it's Angel Fish (which has pink drawn on wings around it), Blow Fish Heat Protecting & Smoothing Cream which has 220c Thermal Elastic Shield and UV Defensive Filter and contains Nourishing Pro Vitamin B5 Plus Strengthening Proteins. On the back I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, ingredients are listed, contact details for Fish UK are given, size is stated (as I've listed already) and finally there is a black and white bar-code on there. Pretty funky packaging it actually is and looks great quality too.

A Bit About The Product According To The Packaging....

We've used 20 years of our Soho Salon's cutting and styling experience to bring you ultra-sexy Angel Fish.... a range of products that will nourish, replenish and super style your hair, doing every-thing that is good so you can be a little bit bad! Angel Fish...for the devil inside you!

Angel Fish Says: 'Blow Fish smooths and flattens whilst protecting your locks from heat damage- the result is stunningly shiny hair!

With 220C Thermal Shield that give ultimate protection from heat.
Panthenol Pro Vitamin B5 nourishes your hair increasing lustre and shine.
Strengthening Proteins and Amino Acids softens hair and helps prevent breakage.
UV Filters help defend hair from the harmful and damaging effects of the sun's rays.

Directions For Use....

Apply evenly to towel dried/damp hair before styling or blow drying to protect against heat damage. Tip: Apply a small amount to dry hair to smooth and add shine to your style.

My Experience Using It....

Well trust me when I tell that you really only need a really small amount of this white slightly shiny thickish cream. It doesn't splodge out of the tube when you squeeze it but comes out just like toothpaste to look at so it is easy enough to control the amount you want to dispense.

Smell wise it's a coconut smell that is very sweet but really, really nice. It's highly fragrant when using it and just to let you know that I went nightclubbing after using mine and got up the following day (when I got up in the afternoon lol) and I may not have smelt so nice and fresh but my hair smelt gorgeous and just like it had been freshly applied! I love that about it!

So I apply a little bit of this to my damp hair that I've combed though first and to do that I dispense a small amount of this to the palms of my hands first and gently coat said hands with it then gently spread it though my hair. This is actually quite difficult to get it evenly applied cos although it melts a bit in the hands and has a slight greasy feel to it, putting it though hair it clings to when it touches and so on bits of hair it goes on quite thick and heavy so you have to really rub it in type of thing or you have white bits of cream on you head that 'gunk' it up and make it feel a bit sticky. You can blend it through though and you can feel where you've applied it to with a slight greasy feel and then your ready to dry you hair.

Drying my hair actually takes a little bit longer. Don't ask me why but the first few times I used it I though my hairdryer wasn't working so well so switched to a different drier I own but for some reason it really does take me an extra few minutes drying time! As I'm drying my hair I can feel it getting more volumised and alo to the touch of it feels drier and a bit rougher. I don't mean as in drying the wet out either. I mean my hair itself feels slightly drier in itself and my ends feel a bit dried up and coarse to the touch.

After finishing drying it and combing it though again that feeling is completely lost though and hair goes back to normal and when it is combed through it actually feels naturally soft and bouncy and frizz is very almost banished from existence. Hair no longer feels dry at all and although I suffer with greasy roots from time to time this doesn't upset them at all in any way.

The smell is gorgeous and of course if you want to you can use other heated appliances such as hair straighteners or curlers or whatever you like. I find a much softer feeling to the hair after using them and my hair straightens quicker with my straighteners than usual and I have a bit of extra volume in a none fluffy way and hair feels smooth and looks it.

Overall....

It is tricky to get the hang of using this cream and getting the amount to use right but once you do it's fine. My hair does feels softer and smoother but I do feel it weighs hair down a little bit but saying that it calms the hair down alot and puts you in control. I wouldn't think you'd need or want to use any more hair products along with this though as it is quite heavy. Would I recommend it? Well yes if you have a bit of patience with it! It does work on smoothing the hair and hair does feel healthy when using this but you have to make the product work for you!!

Summary: Great smelling product!
