Advantages: Fairly cheap, stops frizz, makes hair shiney, easy to use.

Disadvantages: It's got quite a silly name!

I bought this serum as part of a set which I picked up in the sale at Boots. I had previously got hold of some angel fish hair wax which I LOVE the smell of so I thought I would try this out too.

The first thing I am going to talk about is the smell because I find it really unique and gorgeous. It smells kind of coconutty and totally reminds you of being on holiday. It is like a mixture of sun lotion and coconut which sets your memory in motion and takes you back to your holidays. They make poducts for guys too and I had a friend at school who used to wear it and I would spend ages sniffing his head! The smell isn't overpowering but you will often catch a whiff of it if someone walks past wearing it.

Now, I am not usually a big fan of serums. I have tried many and found that they left my hair looking greasy/wet. Yes, they get rid of the frizz, but at what cost? I probably wouldn't have bought this if it wasn't on offer for the above reason, however I have to say I am now glad I did. I have found that a very small amount of this product goes a long way and really works wonders. As you only use a little bit, your hair doesn't end up looking like it has been drenched in product but at the same time, it really does give you a sleek, frizz-free finish.

The pump action bottle is bright pink and looks very funky. I'm not too keen on the name "angel fish" as the mention of fish just makes me think of horrible smells and this doesn't have a horrible smell at all. The pump is easy to use and I find that just one quick pump is enough. I usually rub it between my hands so that my hands have a very thin coating of serum on them and then I rub them down my hair. This is meant to be used on dry hair and is great for giving some shine after blow drying.

Price wise, I'm not sure how much it normally is but my set had this and some heat protector in and it cost £5 (which was half price). I imagine then that this costs around £4 - £5 on it's own in the shops and I don't think that is a bad price at all. I have tried frizz ease and numerous other serums/creams and this is probably the best of all of them. You also get far more than you do in those teeny bottles of frizz ease!

Summary: I would recommend this to anyone - it is a great low cost serum.
