I'm a woman on a mission, a mission to reduce my supermarket spending. One of my worst offenses is expensive shampoos, the fruitier the bettter. I love the Body Shops range of zesty citrus shampoos although at £5.35 a 250ml bottle they're extortionately overpriced. My husband was almost ecstatic when I announced they'd discontinued my favourite range. As part of my quest to find a comparably lively shampoo, but without the equivalent price tag, I've tried a range of shampoos including the Original Sources eye wateringly minty shampoo which left me feeling hungry all day thanks to its lingering scent. I did say I'd try anything, once. Which is how ... Read the complete review

Somehow, I've managed to spend an extortionate amount of money while I've been at University. I don't know where it's all gone, but my bank balance informs me that it's definitely gone somewhere. Because of this, I've been trying to save money wherever I can: from buying cheap food, less clothes, drinking less, as well as buying cheaper versions of beauty products. I adore Johnsons' Baby Shampoo, and wrote a glowing review of it a few months back, in which I stated that I would probably never use a different shampoo again, but when my last bottle ran out, I couldn't quite bring myself to spend £2.50 on another one. Instead I decided to try Asda's own brand, as I found a ... Read the complete review

Introduction I buy relatively expensive shampoo for myself well usually due to the fact that I have very thick hair and I hold the belief however misguided it may be that they tend to do a better job on my hair leaving it shinier and more manageable. I tend to buy stores own branded shampoos for my six year old. Mainly due to the fact that he tends to pour half of it out at every bath time. As a result of this extravagant behaviour I usually buy apple or coconut shampoo from either Asda or Tesco whichever store I choose for my weekly shop. The product that will review here is Asda Family size Apple shampoo. The Product This ... Read the complete review

Asda Family Apple Shampoo comes packaged in a clear plastic bottle with an opaque flip top lid, it's fairly basic packaging and the green shampoo within almost looks toxic! To use simply open the top and dispense a blob of shampoo on to your hand (I find that I need around 2 £2 coin sized amounts to clean properly) and then massage this in to your wet hair. The shampoo is fast flowing out of the bottle so care needs to be taken to avoid wasting it. It lathers up alright but you will need quite a lot to cover all of your hair (I have bra-strap length hair). I suffer from greasy hair and normally have to wash it every 1 1/2 days , as per usual my hair was ... Read the complete review
