It's Asda's Family Apple Shampoo - Not quite what I'd use on my families hair. (Asda Family Apple Shampoo)

Advantages: Great price, lots of product for your money, does clean hair.

Disadvantages: Lots required, apple scent did not stay around.

Asda Family Apple Shampoo comes packaged in a clear plastic bottle with an opaque flip top lid, it's fairly basic packaging and the green shampoo within almost looks toxic!

To use simply open the top and dispense a blob of shampoo on to your hand (I find that I need around 2 £2 coin sized amounts to clean properly) and then massage this in to your wet hair. The shampoo is fast flowing out of the bottle so care needs to be taken to avoid wasting it. It lathers up alright but you will need quite a lot to cover all of your hair (I have bra-strap length hair). I suffer from greasy hair and normally have to wash it every 1 1/2 days , as per usual my hair was greasy when I washed it with this and I rubbed this deep in to my hair before rinsing it all off and my hair was pretty clean. I left my hair to dry naturally and it was no longer greasy with a slight apply smell too it but this was gone by the time I went to sleep later that evening.

A 750ml bottle is available from Asda stores or www.asda.co.uk for 61p and this is a very reasonable price. The shampoo has a nice scent to it, it did clean my hair and lasted for 1 1/2 - 2 days as I would expect from most shampoos before my hair was greasy again. I was fairly pleased with the result I got but I was not pleased that the scent wore off after just a few hours and my hair was just back to smelling 'normal' if you like. I would use this shampoo again but would probably not buy a bottle of it as although it's a great price and you get a lot for your money it does take quite a lot just to clean my hair properly. For these reasons I am rating this 3/5.
