I don't use hairspray at all if I can help it but my daughter uses it all the time. She likes to have her hair up in a pony tail sometimes with all her hair pushed back and with non co-operative hair that seems to run in my family, she needs the help of hairspray to make it stay there.

I won't normally buy expensive hairspray for my daughter because she uses it so much, it doesn't last five minutes. For a 200ml of Elnett hairspray, it costs £3.28 which is a brand I had bought before and thought was really rubbish because it is so gentle on the hair, it doesn't hold it in place. The asda hairspray costs 61p for 300ml. It isn't as caring about your hair, so it holds it in place and you don't have to use that much of it to make your hair stay where you want it. A small spritz on straightened hair is enough to make it stay smooth and sleek for a good few hours and a couple of longer spritzes will make your hair stay in any style. It lasts really well, my daughter had one for for abuot 3 weeks and that was with frequent use.

The only 2 faults I can think of with this product is that after my daughter uses it, she has to wash her hair because unlike the expensive ones, it doesn't brush out very well, so without washing her hair, it looks greasy and stiff. Also, after using it, she had a lot of little white flakes in her hair, but she's never had dandruff and didn't have the white flakes before using the spray. This made her very self consious about using it so she's wary now about using so much, but with limited use, she didn't get the flakes.

Overall, this is a great product if you want to keep your hair smooth and sleek when you go out. It makes your hair do what you want and will defend it against the weather. I'd definitely buy it again but make sure you don't use too much when you put your hair up or you'll look like you've got dandruff. It is definitely worth the money.
