Advantages: cheap, offers great lasting hold.
Disadvantages: Hard to wash out, sticky
Asda extra firm hold hairspray - Is definately what it claims to be!! It certainly is extra firm hold!
I don't use hairspray much, but when I do this is what I usually use as it's only 75p for a 300mml can.
If you want your hair to stay in place use this. If I'm going out with the girlies I will choose to do my hair in some style different to my usual one and if I clip it up, this is the stuff to keep it in place.
It sprays out quite finely and dries quickly too, but when it does dry don't expect to change your style as it ain't going nowhere!
You wouldn't expect a cheaper brand to hold so well, your hair is literally rock solid. It feels like you could snap a bit off, it's that hard!!
I do find it quite difficult to remove though and I have noticed that after using it my hair does become quite brittle and dry....that could just be my over-processed hair but it always feels worse after using this spray. It doesn't brush out very easily, neither does it wash out easily either, I find I sometimes, depending on how much of the spray I have used having to shampoo my hair at least 4 times before it feels back to normal!
I was just reading the description and it says 'Long lasting control and manageability....... It does last but as for managing your hair, like I said above, once this spray is in your hair ain't moving!
Sometimes after washing and drying my hair gets quite flyaway and I can't do anything with it, I will now and again spray on the teeniest amount of this and quickly brush through, and in that way yes it does help me manage my hair but if it's being used for hold then thats not the case. I have also noticed it seems very sticky compared to more expensive brands.
Summary: If it's hold you want then this is the stuff for you.
