Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: not a good experience in all
After buying and trying the Asda Smartprice shampoo, I saw that they also did a conditioner. Now the shampoo was fine, it wasn't amazing but it did the job so for 25p, I thought I'd combine the two and give this one a go too.
It comes in a very similar bottle to the shampoo so it's a good job it states the word 'conditioner' across the front of the bottle. It also looks very similar to the shampoo in that it's peach in colour and rather thick.
The one thing I didn't particularly like about the product was the smell. I prefer 'fruity' scents when it comes to hair products and this definitely wasn't 'fruity' at all. It had a more of a 'floral' old ladies scent to it which was a little unappealing and sickly. Again it was very much like the shampoo in this area and got me thinking if it was almost the same product?
The conditioner was thick enough that it didn't slop onto the floor when I rubbed it into my hair my hair but I did need to use twice as much as usual. I found that my usual amount didn't work entirely through the hair removing all the knots so I put another 'blob' on.
When my hair was dry, it looked fine and felt soft but it just wasn't a pleasant experience over all.
I think the fact that I used more than I usually would and would end up going through the bottle twice as quick makes me think that it's not as 'pocket friendly' as I first thought. A bottle of my regular shampoo costs around 80p so I think I'll stick to that instead.
Summary: Don't bother with this!
