Advantages: Gives long lasting smooth hair.

Disadvantages: The bottle would be difficult to squeeze if you have arthritis.

Recently I changed my normal Aussie shampoo as I wanted to try the new range of Herbal Essences reborn collection. I really wish I hadn't as I mentioned in a previous review, I feel they should have kept on with the old, as certainly my hair has suffered a lot from the less conditioning aspects of the newbies on the block. In fact watching a pair of great tits from my lounge this morning as they prepare to build a nest I can't help but think without Aussie my hair would provide the perfect venue.

So after working my way through most of the Herbal Essences I resigned the rest to the teenage bathroom. I then went back to the serenity of my ensuite to once again use my favourite Aussie moist shampoo to attempt to restore my old hair back to its tangle free and easy to manage state. I felt like I needed some heavy artillery to mend all this damage and decided to buy a special conditioning treatment from the Aussie range. I sometimes buy this product when I am wanting my hair to be a smooth as possible. It works especially well in The Outer Hebrides which has weather to test any product to its limits and is a place I spend a lot of time in.

The Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner for coloured hair is made with Australian wild peaches and is a deep conditioning treatment. The first piece of advice I have for buying this is to shop around. In Boots it retails at £4.88 for 250mls but currently you can buy 2 for £6. Actually in Superdrug the normal price is £4.49 and they currently have a £1 off. What I am really saying is that there is no need to spend almost £5 on this product.

The bottle itself is an unusual design in that the top is actually at the bottom and the opening is covered over by a peel off label. This revels a tiny hole covered partially by plastic which means that to dispense the conditioner all you do is to squeeze the bottle. Leaving it in this position will not make it leak and it means the conditioner is at the bottom waiting to be used. Only one snag which is that make sure you peel off the sticky label before you get into the shower or bath as it can be very frustrating with wet hands trying for ages to undo it. I don't think this design is very helpful for anyone with arthritis as you do need quite a lot of strength to squeeze the bottle.

The conditioner is a lovely thick cream and it is white with a fresh smell. It doesn't smell of peaches, but is a fresh scent more like a spring day when someone has just mowed the lawn.

Applying it is easy and you leave it on for 1 to 3 minutes depending on whether you hair is very dry. It rinses out well but you do have to spend a few more moments than with normal conditioner, as it is does really adhere to the hair strands.

Results are perfect every time. I have long dyed blonde hair with a few weaved highlights, and each morning my locks have a wash, dry, and a session with my GHDs. Using this means that despite all this the hair does not have a dry appearance at all which it was sadly developing when I defected to the new Herbal Essences range. Now it could be that my hair fits all the criteria this shampoo is intended for, I can't say for sure, but it smoothes out the strands and they lie flat. It is especially good in wet and windy weather when without it my hair can soon develop into the sort of place my birds would be looking to make a nest in if I fell asleep outside.

What I really like about this product is that it means I need to spend less time straightening my hair and I can sometimes get away with only a few motions with the GHDs, they are wide plate though, but still they work more quickly and the hair has the shine which comes from moisture, as opposed to the frizz which results from dryness.

This is a great product- no doubt about it.

Summary: A great hair treatment especially if you have coloured hair.
