My hair is very damaged and I wanted something I could use everyday without spending a fortune on the little sachets you get, the hair masks and deep moisturising ones. I use the Aussie range, the shampoo and conditioner and every other day I use this mask. I leave it in for around 3 minutes then rinse out, my hair feels instantly smoothed and much softer and shinier. It has a gorgeous smell to this product and even when your hair is styled and dried you can still smell it :) ... I would really recommended this product to anyone who has dry and worn out hair like mine. It's a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Just puts so much life back into your hair and makes it feel so much better and healthier. I will continue to buy this product as I love the Aussie range. One of the best hair masks around. Thanks for reading
I love all aussie hair products, but this one is by far personally one of the best. I know aussie products are quite expensive, but it is definitely worth treating yourself to some aussie once in a while.
I just use this 3 minute miracle with normal, cheap shampoo, as it gives a lovely deep conditioning treatment that makes it look like you have had your hair done professionally. It creates a lovely shine, and makes your hair feel so silky (a bit too silky for bobbles at times). Also, it smells so yummy (very fruity and fresh), and the smell last for about 24 hours.
My sister frazzled the ends of her hair with hair straighteners once, and after using this 3 minute miracle for three days the burnt smell disappeared and the ends of her hair was a lot smoother. So I would definitely recommend it and she sure would!
I bought this Aussie intense treatment conditioner from Tesco on a recent 3 for £10 offer.
This retails at £4.49 for a 200ml bottle but Tesco, Sainsburys and Boots each regularly sell Aussie products on for £10 deals.
The container is white plastic and the bottle stands on its head and you squeeze the conditioner out of a bottle and through a hole on the base of the container.
To use the conditioner for the firth time, you must peel a circular label off the base of the bottle which is a darn sight easier said than done if, like me, you take the brand new bottle into the shower, wash your hair, and then try to open this with wet and slippery hands! I found it so hard in fact that I ended up having to just twist the base off altogether and dollop the conditioner into my hands the first time I used this, which resulted in me using far too much the first time. I later removed the label when my hands were dry so I can use the correct amount next time.
The conditioner is thick and creamy and white. It smells delicious, as all Aussie products do, but I find it hard to describe - it isn't particularly fruity, I guess it smells a bit like sweets but not sickly smelling.
The guidance instructions on the back of the bottle suggests that you leave this on for between one and three minutes, depending on how much of a treat your hair needs. Personally I left this on for about 3 minutes (estimated based on the length of a song playing on the radio as I do not have a waterproof watch!) and then rinsed.
The conditioner rinses out clean and does not leave any kind of nasty residue on my hair. After leaving my hair to dry naturally (on the advice of my hairdresser I try not to use a hairdryer every day) my hair does feel noticably softer and I can't stop stroking it!
I will definately be making this a regular treat for my hair as I feel it is definitely doing me good. I will certainly buy this product again.
~ Why I Bought This Hair Treatment ~
I have been using this hair treatment for around four months now. I first started using it when I bought it on a whim because it was on offer and it is now one of my favourite hair care products. There are several different versions of the Aussie 3 minute miracle hair treatment including 'take the heat' which is a heat protector, 'luscious long' which is a deep conditioner, 'frizz remedy' which is obviously designed to tame frizzy hair, 'colour' which is a deep conditioner specifically for coloured hair and 'miracle shine' which gives dull and tired hair some shine. The one that I am reviewing is the 'reconstructor', and Aussie say that this leaves dry and damaged hair feeling healthy and shiny in one treatment.
~ Price, Availability and Value ~
The standard retail price for a 250ml bottle of this hair treatment is £4.99, which I think is a very reasonable price and it is a lot cheaper than many other hair treatments, but it is just as good - I get the same results with this as I did with an expensive hair oil that I used to use. It is important to remember that this isn't a conditioner that is designed for really regular use, it's more of a hair treatment, so it doesn't need to be used as often as a normal conditioner. I tend to use mine once a week or whenever my hair looks or feels dull and dry. Obviously I wash my hair more than once a week, and I use a different conditioner on the days that I don't use this.
Because I don't need to use it too often, I find that a 250ml bottle will last me for around a month and a half - great value in my opinion. Availability wise, this is extremely easy to get hold of. Places like Superdrug and boots sell it both in store and online, and it is also available from a variety of supermarkets. I bought my latest bottle of it from Tesco as they had a 3 for 2 promotion on the entire Aussie range.
~ A Bit About The Product ~
Aussie say that this hair treatment is enriched with australian balm mint - something I can't say that I've ever heard of before to be honest! Out of interest and for the purpose of my review I decided to look it up on good old Google and it turns out that it is an essential oil from an australian bush called the Prostanthera melissifolia. The oil is calming, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and it is great at helping to heal hair. It can also help to prevent dandruff, so it's a great thing to have in a hair treatment! Aussie claim that this hair treatment will nourish dry hair and repair and smoothen 'rough cuticles'.
Call me stupid but I'd never heard of cuticles being used when describing anything to do with hair, but a hair cuticle is basically a protective outer layer of hair. Aussie also claim that the treatment will leave hair shiny and more manageable. All of these claims is why I bought it, and out of all of the other versions this one seemed the best suited to me. I straighten my hair everyday and blow dry it every 2/3 days, and I get quite a bit of breakage, and split ends and dryness because of this, so the fact that this product claims to nourish the hair and repair it really appealed to me.
~ Packaging ~
The packaging for this hair treatment really isn't anything special nor is it particularly attractive or eye catching, however because of the overall scheme and overall design it is obvious that it is an Aussie product. The design of the bottle is unisex, which is a little worrying because if a guy picked this up and decided to buy it I think that he'd be put off by the girly smell. Some guys might like it, but my fiancé certainly doesn't! The bottle isn't very big and it is made from plastic. It's white with the purple Aussie logo on it and information about the product on the back and front of it. This information includes the ingredients, how to use the product, what the product does and so on. The bottle has got a bit of a strange lid - when it comes to hair treatments and shampoo and conditioner I like bottles with flip top lids but this has just got a little opening at the bottom which opens and closes. It was a bit of an unusual novelty at first but now I'm used to it.
~ Appearance Texture & Smell ~
This hair treatment smells just how all of the other Aussie products that I have tried smell like. It is a sweet - almost overpoweringly sweet fragrance, which has a bubblegum scent to it. The first time that I used an Aussie product I was a little put off because of the sickly smell but now I quite like it. It is a very girly smell and I love how long it lingers on my hair. I can usually still smell it the day after I have uses the hair treatment and whenever I get a whiff of it it smells like subtle perfume. I doubt that everyone will like the smell, but personally I do. Texture wise, this is now and thick so it isn't runny and messy to apply, and I don't need to use that much of it to get full coverage. One thing that I particularly like about this hair treatment is the colour of it - it's a really nice shade of orange, which I found unusual as most hair treatments and shampoos/conditioners are white so this makes it quite unique.
~ How I Use It ~
I use this once a week or whenever my hair feels dry or looks dull. I use it after I've shampoo'd and rinsed my hair, and I apply it as I would a conditioner. I have got medium length hair and I find that a 50p sized blob of it is enough for all of my hair. Once I have massaged it into my hair I leave it on for three minutes, enjoying the sweet, refreshing smell whilst I relax in the bath, and I then rinse it out. As this is quite thick I have to say that I am surprised and impressed by how easily it rinses out of my hair, leaving no stickiness or greasiness.
~ Effect On Hair ~
As soon as I have washed this hair treatment out of my hair I can feel that my hair is silkier, softer and moisturised. Even when it is still wet it feels very manageable with no knots. It looks healthier and shinier, and I love how it makes my hair feel. It gives my hair that 'fluffy' kind of feel which makes it easy to style and it is very easy to brush through and I find that my hair feels really light too rather than weighed down and heavy. It doesn't get rid of split ends, but it makes my hair look in better condition. It doesn't help with breakage either, however I wasn't really expecting it to. I don't have a huge amount of breakage anyway, so this it isn't a problem really. After using this I find that I can last for around three days without washing my hair, but after this time it starts to feel a little greasy. It also doesn't feel quite as soft and silky as it does for the first day after a few days so the results aren't long term unfortunately. The treatment is gentle on my scalp and I've not had any problems with it irritating it or causing dandruff.
~ Overall Opinion ~
It might sound a bit sad, but I actually look forward to using this as even though the conditioner that I use always leaves my hair feeling lovely and soft, this hair treatment always manages to make it feel even softer and silkier. I love how my hair looks and feels after using it, and it isn't too expensive which is great. I definitely recommend this very highly and I will continue to buy it as I really like it. The only thing I'm not overly keen on is the design of the bottle; I'd prefer a flip lid, but I am not going to knock a star off because of this.
~ Star Rating ~
A well earned five out of five stars.
My hair goes through a lot of stress from being dyed, back combed, straightened, blowdried that it is a miracle in itself that it isn't like straw but I do like to try and take good care of it to ensure that it remains looking glossy and sleek and not dry and brittle.
I use a lot of hair masks and treatments on my hair at least twice a week as well as using a good shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis.
One of my favourite treatments to use is the 3 minute miracle by Aussie as it doesn't take a lot of time to use like some treatments and it makes my hair feel lovely and soft afterwards. It also smells gorgeous just like bubble gum.
It has a lovely texture and consistency and feels nice when I spread it through my hair. You really do only need to leave it on for 3 minutes to get all the effects from it but I suppose if you have really dry and damaged hair then you could leave it on for longer. I find that the 3 minutes is more than enough and this is one of the reasons that I like it so much as I can incorporate it into my daily routine with no hassle and don't need to set aside extra time to use it.
When I first wash it off I can already feel just how soft it has left my hair and it makes it tangle free and I can run my fingers through my wet hair with no problems.
Once I dry my hair the effects are even more apparent as when my hair is dry it is so incredible soft and manageable and even brushing my hair is much easier after using this. This also gives a really lovely shine to my hair which is really noticeable when the light hits it.
This really is a gorgeous conditioner and the only real complaint that I have with it is that the effects don't last that long. With some masks and treatments they actually seem to heal my hair but this is more of a quick fix as the results only last a couple of days before my hair starts to look a bit more dry and lifeless again. It is excellent as a quick fix for things like nights out and as something to use between more intensive treatments but I probably wouldn't use it for those times when my hair is in need of much more intensive help.
It is absolutely lovely to use though and leaves my hair looking fantastic even if it is just for a couple of days. It is also quite cheap and only costs £4.99 for a bottle which lasts me a couple of months at a time.
I like to wash and condition my hair around 3 times a week so that I don't keep damaging it with hair drying and straightening etc. I generally buy which ever shampoo or conditioner is on offer at the supermarket to use most often but I also buy the aussie shampoo and conditioner and use this once a week.
You might be thinking why would I need two different ones ... but I have found using the aussie shampoo and conditioner every time I wash my hair it makes it greasy as they are both really strong and moisturise my hair well. Just using it once a week is enough for my hair. (Other people may be able to use more often depending on their hair type)
I bought the aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner from boots for £1.69. I only buy the 75ml bottles as they last over a month with me just using them once a week so I don't need to be splashing out over £4 on a large bottle. I seem to use more and waste it when I have a big bottle so buying the smaller ones works out at better value for me personally. The bottle is plain white with the aussie logo on and a flip lid that is easy to open. I was first drawn to the conditioner as it says 3 minute miracle for damaged hair on the front which described my hair completely. On the back it explains how to use (pretty much the same as most conditioners) and also the ingredients. The aussie range doesn't particularly jump out off the shelf and I only tried it as it was recommended otherwise I probably wouldn't have picked it up.
Using the conditioner:
I used the aussie shampoo and the aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner together as this is what it recommends. As I said before I made the mistake of using too much as I have found over time you don't need a large amount to wash and condition your hair. After washing I let my hair dry and it felt much smoother and soft and the ends didn;t feel dry like they usually do. The aussie range have a gorgeous smell and I could still smell it the day after. I did use the shampoo and conditioner every time I washed but it started to make my hair become greasy quicker so instead I just use it once a week and use a different one every other time I wash which works better for my hair.
I have used the aussie shampoo and conditioner now for over 2 years and it has definitely made a difference to the condition of my hair. It looks healthy and nourished and feels smoother and soft. The smell of the aussie range is heaven and I would definitely recommend to anyone who's hair needs some urgent pampering.
Aussie has done it again!
The packaging for this product is dare I say it, Boring! But with a reputation like Aussie has why would they need fancy packaging? It is a white plastic bottle with a large screw off lid. The bottle is 250 ml which I believe is the only large size bottle you can get but you can also buy the sample sachets or the sample size travel condition (Perfect for mini breaks). The lid comes off easily whilst showering and has a small tunnel/funnel like exit for the conditioner is perfect, just give a little squeeze at the top and just the perfect amount of condition comes out. A small handful of this is all you need to bring your hair back to life.
The packaging has the usual information on the front - The Aussie Sign, the type of condition - 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner, the bottle size - 250 ml, states it's for damaged hair and that it 'restores manageability and shine.' The back of the bottle has a list of the ingredients that this conditioner contains.
How to use the product
This product is to be used after shampooing your hair, after shampooing preferably with Aussie but I find any shampoo works well you then place a small handful of this through your hair and leave on. Even though it stays three minutes I feel that this varies depending on the damage that your hair is in. If it is severely damaged then I like to leave it on, wrap it in a towel (to trap the heat and condition deeply) and leave it sometimes for up to 15 minutes then wash this off. If you are using this on a weekly basis or even daily then I would not leave it longer than the recommended 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water thoroughly (no-one wants greasy patches) and then you have it, lovely healthy hair.
How the product works on your hair
Well I have dying my hair (Bleach!!) for years now and although my hair is in ok condition every now and then it needs a 'Pick me up' and that's when Aussie hair comes to the rescue! I know that no matter how many times I use this or how badly my hair is damaged this will repair it as best any conditioner can, my hair shall we say 'comes back to life!'
This is the most reliable condition in the world (In my opinion) just three minutes on your hair and your hair is shinier, healthier and repaired. What more do you want from this conditioning mask?
This works well on all hair colours, I know this as I have probably had every hair colour (natural colours) under the sun and have used this for years now. I once had a disaster with over dying my hair and I almost lost all my hair!! I wouldn't advise to anyone but after using Aussie conditioner my hair was back to health in just a couple of month (Aussie has been sent from Heaven I'm sure!)
Your hair feels like it has been treated with a mask at the hairdressers, it feels light, healthy, looks shiny and conditions deep down, all in three minutes? How does it do it?
The front of the bottle says 'Restores Manageability and Shine' well that is very true, does what it says on the tin.
Where to buy the product and price
Aussie product is available widely; it is available in almost all supermarkets, chemists, stores such as Boots, Superdrug, etc. It costs £4.99 as a standard RRP and although the conditioner isn't usually on sale on its own there are usually sales across the Aussie range such as 3 for 2 or 3 for £10, believe me this is a product worth investing in.
Aussie 3 minute miracle reconstructor
I bought this after all of the hype around it, from the blogging world and from friends. I bought the mini version as I have a lot of conditioners/shampoos already. I have now used it up, so here is the review.
- Product description (from Boots.com)
"Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor is a deep conditioning treatment for dry and damaged hair. 3 Minute Miracle leaves hair looking and feeling healthy and shiny in one treatment."
- About the product
I bought the mini/travel version that they sell in Boots, it is the 75ml size. It is designed for dry/damaged hair which mine is to an extent. It contains Australian balm mint and plant seed oils. I have tried a few products from Aussie and most of them have been fantastic so I had high hopes for this product.
I love Aussie product scents on the whole (my sister hates the scents though). This product smells like a definite Aussie hair product - very unusual and not generic in the slightest. It smells strongly of cherry, cheap bubble gum. It doesn't smell like mint or fruit at all and it smells really sweet which I really like but it will not be for everyone - so I suggest you smell it in store before purchase.
- Using the product
I use this as I would another other conditioner, I shampoo and then apply a good amount of this - I have to apply quite a lot as my hair is dry, thick and long (down past my waist again). The conditioner is pale pastel orange in colour which is a little bit unusual. It is really thick and it applies nicely. While applying and massaging into the midlengths and ends of my hair, the scent intensifies which I like but again if you don't like strong/sweet scents you will not like this. It has a thick, smooth consistency and I leave it in my hair for 1-3 minutes as suggested on the bottle. It rinses out well, it doesn't take long and I don't feel like it leaves product in my hair really. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling detangled, smooth and more manageable. When my hair is dry it feels the same - smooth, mostly detangled and soft. Although I find that this product does weigh my hair down slightly and I find that it makes my hair greasy quicker than other shampoos/conditioners I have used which isn't a great effect. Overall, a nice product but I wasn't blown away by it and this product is definitely too hyped up for its average effects, in my opinion.
- Price and availability
This product can be bought from most larger supermarkets such as Tesco and it can be bought from superdrug, boots and online stores. The full size (250ml) is currently £4.99 on boots.com. There is also a 3 minute 'shine' version too.
*Quick and easy to use/rinse out of my hair
*Scent is nice and very sweet/girl - although this may be a negative point for some
*leaves my hair moisturised, smooth, detangled and manageable to an extent
*Widely available and fairly cheap
*Can weigh my hair down slightly and it can make my hair greasier quicker than other products (and my hair hardly gets greasy)
Thank you for reading my review
I started using this 3 years ago, and I have always had one in my bathroom ever since.
Product and Packaging:
It comes in a 250ml bottle, and it costs about £5 but I often buy it on offer (3 for £10) with other Aussie Products.
The product claims to leave hair looking and feeling healthy and shiny in just one treatment (3 minutes).
The packaging is definitely not my favorite as you can not see how much it has got left, or it can leak a bit if you pack it in suitcases. However, it is not a big deal and I can live with it.
It smells like bubblegum, sweet and quite fresh. It is not overpowering but if you don't like sweet scent, you may not like it.
As I mentioned, I have used it several times. I do not use it as an everyday conditioner (I know some people do), I only use it 1-2 times a week; because I think the effects last long enough. Not only does it leave my hair silky smooth, it also adds shine and makes my hair more manageable. Thus it pretty much delivers its claims. And it does not take that long either. Lots of deep conditioner requires you to wait for 20-30', which you don't always have the time to do, so 3 mins is fantastic.
In my personal experience, I find that if I roughly tower dry my hair after I wash it, then apply the conditioner and use a big wide tooth comb or fingers to slightly comb it, the product will work even more effectively. For a very deep treatment, I sometimes leave it on for 15-20', and my hair look divine.
Moreover, it does not weigh my hair down nor make my hair oilier. I have had problems with conditioners making my hair so greasy, thus I love this.
Whenever my hair feels dry, I just use it and it adds life to my hair again. I don't think I can live without this.
Overall, I think you must try this. I have some other deep treatments I love, but they cost 3-4 times more, and not much difference. Therefore, for the price, I genuinely think it is superb.
If I was to make a list of my top ten beauty products of all time this would definitely be in it. Since discovering the Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner a few years ago I have just grown to love it more and more and it is one that I always go back to in order to keep my hair in tip top condition.
**What it claims**
"Our unique formula with Australian balm mint extract smoothes rough cuticles and helps restore manageability and adds shine."
In just 3 short minutes this conditioner claims that it can help turn dry and damaged hair into manageable and shiny locks due to its use of Australian balm mint which is said to be called "The elixir of life".
The bottle this conditioner is in is not my most favourite in the world but it is bearable. The bottle is white which is my first bug bear as you cannot see how much product is left. Yes it does stand on its head which makes it easier to dispense the product but I have found it difficult to get the last traces of product out of the bottle due to not being able to squeeze it much.
Oh my goodness this stuff smells absolutely amazing! I love it! It is quite difficult to describe as it is not minty as you would have expected. There are slight undertones of mint blended with aloe vera and yumminess. I actually thought it had shea butter in from the smell but I was wrong. It is not over powering at all, it is subtle and quite addictive, and it is a scent I do not think I would ever get bored of.
**Using the Product**
As you squeeze the product into your hand you will notice how thick in consistency it is. This is easy to coat your hair and it makes it easy to wait the 3 minutes as the conditioner does not drip.
Washing the conditioner out is also easy and my hair feels instantly softer and more nourished.
After my hair is dried you can notice a difference immediately. It looks and feels healthier and shinier. It does a great job with split ends and helps to repair them and make them less noticeable.
As I mentioned earlier I love the smell of this product so it was to my delight that the scent remains on your hair for a long time. I can still notice it 24 hours after washing my hair, sometimes even longer.
**Price and availability**
You can pick this up in a variety of stores including supermarkets and health and beauty stores as well as online. You can expect to pay around £5 for the product which is quite expensive for a conditioner but for the results you get I would say it is worth it, it is also on offer a lot of the time.
I love this product and love how it makes my hair look and feel. If like me you like to grow your hair a bit and do not necessarily like to go to the hair dressers every 6 weeks this is a life saver as nobody would ever know! This Aussie miracle deserves the full 5 stars.
As a woman who is an absolute hair dye demon, I find myself having straw-like hair quite often. This is not ideal, as a woman needs to feel beautiful at all times!
I used to find Aussie products quite expensive so I never really felt the need to purchase any of their products. You can find 3 Minute Miracle in the major retailers for around £4 to £5. I now feel that £4 to £5 is actually a reasonable price for the Aussie peeps to ask for.
The first time I used this product, I was actually bought it as a present from one of my close friends as a Christmas present. Obviously, out of appreciation for the present, I used it the next time I took a shower. The instructions on the bottle are simple: 'Pop a splodge of 3 Minute Miracle onto clean wet hair. Leave on for 2-3 minutes depending on how much of a treat it needs. Rinse with warm water.' It couldn't be more self explanatory.
The bottle itself actually squirts the conditioning treatment from the base of the bottle. You peel the sticker from it and squeeze out your desired amount of this peachy coloured goodness. Upon squeezing a splodge of the treatment out onto my palm I presented it in front of my fussy nostrils to see if I enjoyed the smell. The smell was lovely. It smelled just like warm coconuts. You could close your eyes and imagine yourself to be on an Australian beach.
On the Aussie website, this product is said to be some sort of hero: 'Help is at hand - and in a hurry! In a matter of minutes this little wonder will help reconstruct damaged hair, smoothing and soothing and leaving it manageable, shiny and as ready to party as you are'. My verdict? ... 100% correct. After I dried my hair which was previously in awful condition, I was astounded by how my hair was now soft, shiny and easy to manage.
I now love this product and I buy myself it as a treat when I can afford it.
I regularly dye my hair and because of this my hair can suffer from dryness and that horrible straw like feeling that often comes with dyeing hair. It seems that no matter whether I use a small amount of conditioner provided with the hair dye or the whole bottle that I just cannot shake this off and so I turn to Aussie products in my time of need. This 3 minute miracle reconstructor is a product that I use on a regular basis to keep my coloured hair in fantastic condition. I find that the conditioner provided with hair dye is usually quite good at fixing up my hair but this doesn't last long and that is where this Aussie conditioner comes in.
Recently I have stocked up on these as part of a 3 for £10.00 offer in Boots making them reduced from their usual price of £4.99 to just £3.33 each. This is a fantastic saving for me and I actually bought six bottles of this because I love a bargain.
I love the saying that Aussie have - 'There's more to life than hair but it's a good place to start!' This is definitely true for me and while I may not want to spend hours on washing or conditioning my hair I do want hair that looks fantastic at all times and that represents that I like to look good and feel good at all times. This deep conditioner is ideal for fixing up my hair when it has been recently coloured and I find that I end up using this a good two or three times a week now, sometimes after shampoo and sometimes after using a shampoo and matching conditioner.
I find that while this conditioner is very thick it does come out quickly yet with no wastage from over dispensing. I can't see any difference between this conditioner and any other conditioner when pouring this out or applying it to my hair. Fortunately I can see a huge difference between this and others after I have finished using it. I always apply this and leave it for at least 3 minutes, sometimes 5 or even a few more, and then I use hot water to rinse it off before finishing with a blast of cold water to try and add extra shine to my hair. The actual results of using this conditioner are absolutely fantastic. My hair looks amazingly shiny and it feels smooth from root to tip. Sometimes I find myself rubbing my hair to check that I have removed all of the conditioner just because it feels so silky and smooth. All of the dryness that I experience from using home hair dye kits is eradicated in just one use of this conditioner and my hair is as smooth and silky as it has ever been. My hair is manageable from root to tip and it is simple for me to run a brush or a comb through without finding knots or tangles.
The smell of this is lovely and it really is a classic Aussie scent. There is the addition of Australian mint but I can never really detect this and instead can just notice a wonderful fruity fresh smell that lingers on my hair for the rest of the day after use and keeps my hair smelling fantastic.
A small amount goes a long way with this conditioner and it is definitely worth every penny in my opinion. This conditions my hair deeply and it leaves it protected and stronger for longer than other conditioners. I do not have to use this every time I shampoo my hair if I don't want to and instead I prefer just to use this a couple of times a week, as needed really, more so if I have just coloured my hair again. This is plenty in my opinion and I would say that a bottle of this conditioner lasts me about 2 months or so even if I am a little too generous when using it. Whether I leave this on for 3 minutes or 10 it still works just as well and I don't feel like the extra times benefits my hair or provides anything extra so 3 minutes really is ample. My hair is simple to style and straighten after using this conditioner also although I do always use a heat protecting product too just to try and keep my hair in tip top condition. I would definitely recommend this deep conditioner and therefore I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars.
This has to be one of my favourite hair masks. The smell of this alone makes it worth buying but it actually works too. After using a more expensive hair mask I was fed up of spending a fortune and this seemed reasonably priced. After use my hair was shiny and manageable and after a couple of months of regular use my hair seemed in better condition. My hair was no longer a frazzled beach blonde bomb but a gorgeous silky smooth barnet. It was easy to wash out and didn't leave my hair weighed down. It made buying more expensive options seem pointless why spend £20 when you can spend a fiver and get the same effect. The packaging is brilliant no fiddly lids to unscrew. This is particularly handy in the shower and prevents water filling up the tub. Definetely the best hair mask at this price range BARGAIN.
My hair drives me mad at times as it can become very dry and prone to frizz. I recently had it cut fairly short again into a graduated bob which seems to make it more manageable but it still can become dry. As well as my usual shampoo and conditioner about once per week I use a deep conditioner to give my hair an extra moisture boost to help keep it looking healthy and to enable it to be more manageable. The last deep conditioner that I purchased was the Aussie 3 minute miracle reconstructor deep conditioner which I had read good reviews about decided that it would be worth a try on my unruly hair.
I purchased the Aussie deep conditioner from Boots in a single application sachet containing 20ml which cost £1.09 although it is also sold in a large 250ml bottle for £4.99. I have also seen the Aussie brand of hair products sold in Superdrug and some larger supermarkets so it is quite easy to find.
The deep conditioner that I purchase came packaged in a plastic coated foil sachet. On the front you can find the Aussie kangaroo logo as well as a brief description of how the conditioner works and that it contains aloe vera and Australian Balm Mint. On the back of the sachet is more detailed information about how the ingredients contained in the conditioner work on your hair as well as directions for use and ingredients listings.
The main ingredient, Australian Balm Mint extract is said to help smooth split ends and roughened cuticles. It says on the sachet that it 'helps transform damaged hair into manageable and shiny locks'. This sounded just perfect for my hair and seemed to deal with all the problems that I have. It also states that it does all this with just a 3 minute application which I was pleased to see as I do not like sitting for a life time with product on my hair.
The sachet was easy to open by just tearing along the little pre made cut at the top. The conditioner itself has a gel like consistency and is slightly cloudy in colour. One thing I noticed straight away is how lovely this conditioner smells, it is not really minty but quite sweet and has a vanilla smell. I found that there was just enough in the sachet to cover my hair, although I do have fairly short hair so anyone with long hair my struggle and need to purchase the bottle instead of the individual sachet. It states on the sachet to leave the conditioner on for 1-3 minutes depending on how much you think your hair needs. I actually left it on for around 5 minutes as my hair was very dry so I wanted it to have some extra time to work.
The conditioner rinsed out really easily, I have used deep conditioners in the past where I have had to use shampoo afterwards to get rid of the excess conditioner which has clung to my hair and did not seem to want to rinse off but this one was very easy to rinse out. I found that my hair felt better immediately and felt smooth and silky. After my hair way dry I could certainly see the difference my hair looked shiny, smooth and felt soft and nourished. It made styling my hair easier and I did not need to use my straighteners for as long as it was not nearly as unruly. I felt the results of this deep conditioner lasted about 2 weeks before I felt like I needed to repeat the process with just using my normal shampoo and conditioner in-between.
Overall I love this Aussie deep conditioner as it really does work and revives my hair leaving it looking healthy again. I have already purchased another sachet of this conditioner and will be trying other products in the range too as I have been so impressed with it.
Aussie Three Minute Miracle reconstructor has been a firm favourite in my bathroom cabinet for many years. It contains Safflower seed oil, and smells absolutely beautiful. I first used this in 2004, buying it in sachets as opposed to bottles, but found the bottles to be more cost effective because you don't really need a whole sachet to condition your hair.
I use this about once a week, maybe twice if my hair is particularly dry. I have greasy roots and dry ends, and I apply this to my hair from about an inch away from the scalp. The bottle says to leave the conditioner on for three minutes (hence the name) but I've found that although three minutes is enough for the product to work, the scent of the conditioner stays with my hair for longer if I leave it on for five to eight minutes. I find that this rinses out easily and leaves my hair easy to straighten or style, and also leaving it soft and smooth.
I find that for my just-below-shoulder-length hair, a palm full is more than enough, which means with once-weekly applications, the bottle lasts a good three months, which is important because this conditioner is a lot more expensive than I'd usually pay, at £4 for a 250ml bottle. Highly recommended to anyone who has hair that is chin length or longer, in my opinion, as I've found that it can make my roots even greasier.
