Advantages: Shiny soft sleek hair

Disadvantages: None

I was in need of a conditioning treatment that would leave my hair soft shiny and sleek looking. Usually I would have gone into my local Boots store found one of the most expensive conditioning treatments on the shelf from a well known brand name and voila I had bought myself a conditioning treatment in less than 1 minute...... But I have learnt my lesson with this selection method hence why I have drawers full of products at home which I have found are actually useless once I have got them home. So before my shopping trip I used my new found fountain of knowledge... Dooyoo, to read up on some of the better products that are available, in order to spend my cash wisely.

**My Hair**
My hair natural hair colour is a mid brown colour however currently my hair is dyed dark brown. My hair has not been harshly colour treated like previous years in which I have had peroxide blonde hair dye being piled on every few weeks, but the lovely shiny dark brown colour was started to disappear. My hair started looking dull and feeling very dry, not quite straw like but well on its way to getting that way if I took no action.

I am blessed with strong naturally shiny hair as I do style my hair daily blow drying and using hair straighteners to achieve straight styles or to curl my hair. Recently I have had lots of social events so my hair has been getting styled twice daily which has resulted in the brittle texture to my long brown locks giving it an almost fuzzy appearance!

So not only did I want a product that would restore and revive the dark brown colour to my hair but also to tame the frizz giving me shiny sleek hair once again

**Packaging**
After deciding the product for me was the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioner I headed to Boots to purchase. When I came across the Aussie product I was looking for on the shelf I have to admit if I was using my old selection method I would not have even considered the product as the packaging is so plain I probably would not have even noticed it.

The conditioner comes in a white tube which the lid is at the bottom of the tube shaped bottle so after use you need to screw the lid back on otherwise the product will not stand up.

The label is a peach colour with the Aussie brand logo at the top and a description of what the product is suitable for underneath in smaller font. The product reminds me slightly of quite a medicinal product due to its plain quite official looking packaging.

Lesson 1- Do not judge by appearances alone. The product won't look the prettiest if it's on display in your bathroom but it will leave your hair looking amazing.

When I got home I realised that rather than actually picking up the 3 Minute Miracle for colour revival I had picked up the 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner not aimed at coloured hair. However because my hair is not so harshly coloured I was not too concerned.

**Price**
The price I paid for a 350ml bottle of this from Boots was £4.48. The bottle did appear quite small and I did at first thing the product is slightly higher priced than an average conditioning treatment. On reflection the product is actually very good value for money as this is not a product that you will be using on a daily basis, probably once a week at most. So does last a long time. I have used this product four times now and about 1 fifth of the bottle has been used up. I feel I use a greater amount than average of the product as my hair is thick and long (about half way down my back)

**Application**
After washing my hair with my usual shampoo I brushed my wet hair then squeezed the excess water out of my hair. I applied a small amount of conditioner to my hair (about the size of a 50p piece) and rubbed through my hair. Because my hair is long and thick I applied about the same amount again I worked this into my hair and then carefully brushed this through my hair. I then left for the full recommended 3 minutes.

The conditioner is very thick, in fact it's more like a moisturiser consistency than a conditioner. The shampoo is a creamy yellow colour which looks ever so slightly gritty/ lumpy but does not feel at all gritty .

The scent of the conditioner is gorgeous the bottle states that the product is made from aloe vera and jojoba oil which give off a very subtle scent. This is a very indistinct scent it is very much like sherbet with a more fruity scent. The scent is apparent when applied to the hair but is not overpowering and unpleasant.

After 3 minutes I rinsed the product off my hair. Although the product feels very thick and quite greasy when it is applied to the hair it is very easy to rinse off the hair. I have found that with some deep conditioning treatments they need a lot of rinsing but this Aussie product takes the same amount of rinsing as the average daily conditioner does.

Once the product is fully rinsed off the hair, the hair is left feeling clean and the wet hair does feel very smooth. I liked how smooth my hair felt, without it feeling excessively greasy or sticky with residue left on my hair.

**Result**
After only two minutes of blowdrying my hair I started to notice a positive difference to my hair. Even when partially wet my hair felt a lot smoother and as it was drying it did not feel as straw like as it had started to feel like previously.

Once my hair was completely dry I was very impressed with the result. My hair looked very very shiny and felt so soft. I have found with some deep treatment conditioners they leave the hair shiny but greasy, with this conditioner is certainly was not the case. My hair felt smooth and not at all sticky or greasy from the conditioner. It was lovely to touch and looked so sleek not the slightest look of frizz. I had started to notice a slight frizz at the hairline around my face and the edge of my fringe which after using the Aussie conditioner had completely vanished. Even the ends of my hair looked smooth with no frizz.

The colour of my dark brown hair (dyed golden dark brown) had looked very dull before I applied the conditioner and also very flat in terms of colour. After using the Aussie conditioner my hair was shiny but the colour looked completely revived and with the light reflecting off my hair gave it more depth as the highlights and lowlights of my hair colour were much more apparent..

**Overall**
The product certainly does what it says on the tin... A 3 minute miracle! Hair feels softer, and looks really shiny and sleek. Unlike some products the Aussie conditioner gives a long lasting smooth sleek look rather than just after the initial wash. I now use this product once a week and my hair now looks conditioned and healthy between each deep conditioning treatment. The product is good value for money as although the initial outlay of £4.50-£5 may seem expensive the product last for a long time. Do not judge by appearances, although the packaging may seem very dull and boring, your hair will not be!

Summary: Perfect hair... I'm now an Aussie addict
