Advantages: Smooth hair, Easily untangled hair, Nice smell

Disadvantages: £5 a bottle, somtimes more, Bottle leaks in transit

This works... you've guessed it... miracles on my hair. The '3 minute miracle' conditioner stops that triangle-shaped-head effect that those of us with thick hair in a bob know and hate.

The active ingredient in this conditioner is 'Australian Balm Mint' which, the bottle says, 'helps mend split ends and heal roughened cuticles'. While I thought cuticles were something on my fingers rather than anything on my head, I have to agree that it definitely does have a 'smoothing' effect. In fact, it makes my thick hair look quite a bit thinner, which may not be a plus point for anyone wanting to add body to thin hair.

The instructions on the bottle tell you to leave the conditioner on your hair for between one and three minutes, depending how bad your hair is looking (no, they don't phrase it like that!). I find that about a minute is fine. I certainly don't do the 'rinsing it first with warm and then cool water' rigmarole that they recommend - I did try it once but it didn't seem to make any difference.

A major benefit of this conditioner is that it makes it very easy to get a brush through your hair after washing, even if you rub it vigorously with a towel to get the worst of the water off. This lasts right through to after blasting with a hairdryer (a bonus for people who don't have time to let their hair dry naturally).

I should also add that I have very sensitive skin, and zillions of allergies, and I've never had a problem with this conditioner. Obviously, everyone reacts differently, but while it isn't advertised as hypoallergenic, my experience is that it doesn't seem to cause any skin reactions, either on me or on the random houseguests who inevitably nick a bit of it whilst using the shower.

The only disadvantage with '3 minute miracle' is the design of the bottle. A lot of thought has obviously gone into this. It stands upside-dow
n, with a sticker over the hole at the bottom. Once you've taken the sticker off, gravity ensures that there is always conditioner ready to be squeezed out, rather than lurking at the other end of the bottle. BUT... this is no use at all when you need to travel with the thing! All I can recommend is either decanting it or packing it in multiple plastic bags, especially if you're travelling by plane, where the lack of air pressure in the hold can have explosive results. I mean, I like the smell of this stuff, but not on all my clothes for a two week holiday. ;-)

But, with that warning, I highly recommend it. And, if you get addicted like me, the cheapest place to buy it is usually Superdrug, though if Boots are doing one of their '2 for 1' offers that can be a better deal.

Please also take into account that this product is manufactured by Procter & Gamble, who carry out a large amount of animal testing. Might be worth including, as this would put many people off buying it.

Nice op, I've often wondered if it was worth the money. I will have to try it sometime.
Btw Hello and welcome, hope you enjoy it, and I hope to read more of your ops soon.
