This must be one of the single most convenient (read: lazy-friendly) products I have ever come across. It's brilliant. Rather than being forced to perform the Herculean labour of lugging both my Aussie Aussome Volume shampoo bottle and the corresponding conditioner into the shower again and again, on a daily basis, like some sort of nicely-coiffed Sisyphus, I can now take only this bottle when I wash my hair!
Rather than the packaging shown in the picture, my Aussie 2-in-1 came in a tall, opaque beige bottle. The opacity sadly means that you can't tell how much there is left until you squeeze the bottle, but the bottle is quite large, so that hasn't been a problem for me yet.
The product comes out of the bottle looking and behaving just like conditioner; it's white, cool, and of medium viscosity. It's creamy, but not so rich as to sit on the hair and weigh it down.
I rubbed the product into my hair as I would shampoo, then massaged it down the length of my hair as I would conditioner. My hair became noticeably cleaner and smoother in the process, just as if freshly conditioned. I stepped away from the spray and combed my hair through. It was smooth, shiny, and soft... if very wet!
After a blow-dry, I noticed considerably more volume and thickness in my normally limp, thin hair. Once I'd combed it out again, I styled the ends with tongs, and the effect was massive.
Despite the reputation of two-in-one products, I found that the Aussome Volume product worked equally excellently as the separate products on my naturally thin and greasy hair. I bought three more bottles on an offer at Asda - three for £10 - and plan to buy more once I work my way through it all, which no doubt I shall. I'd recommend this to anyone with limp hair and an idle disposition.
When I was looking round Boots for some new hair products recently I saw a 3 for £10 offer on the Aussie range and remembering I used to like this range a few years ago decided to try some again. One product I picked up to try was this Aussome Volume 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, which is normally priced at £3.99.
It comes in a tall cylindrical bottle which is opaque so you can't easily see how much is left. It has a push top lid to make it easy to use and more convenient. The packaging looks very cheap in my opinion, not what I want from something that costs £4, but it's what's inside that counts right?
The shampoo is white and very creamy with a nice fresh, fruity scent. It lathers well and I only need a relatively small amount to thoroughly cover the whole of my hair. The lather feels much thicker and creamier than most shampoos, most likely due to the fact that it also contains conditioner, but it doesn't feel too rich or like it's going to weigh my fine hair down. It rinsed out easily with not much effort at all.
The first thing I noticed after rinsing this out was how tangled my hair felt. My hair is very fine and naturally in very good condition and very silky so tangles are something I never have a problem with, so for this to make make my hair tangled I really dread to think what it would do to other peoples' hair. It took a long time to comb it through and I found myself thinking my hair was going to be in awful condition after using this.
Luckily once dry my hair didn't actually feel bad, it was soft and smooth and felt fresh and light and really clean. The only thing I did notice was that it looked a little dull, which is not a problem I often have with my hair, it's naturally very shiny. Sadly after a few hours I found my hair started to feel quite heavy and a little greasy, and whilst my hair is prone to greasiness it doesn't normally get greasy this quickly! I have used it quite a few times since but the respite have not improved so I'm afraid this one will be going in the bin and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.
Aussie is my must have shampoo and conditioner. It smells divine and leaves your hair smelling great until your next wash. If your on the go and just got back from swimming and need a quick hair wash this is for you! It gets rid of the smell of chlorine and is 2-in-2 so it's simple and easy to use.
Don't be fooled by the name though, it's not from Down Under, try London instead!!!
I would use this shampoo and conditioner once a week and the separate ones every other day. Try the miracle moist as they both leave your hair shiny, with volume and silky.
The facebook aussie site is great too. It offers exclusive contests to win some of your favourite products and has great tutorials on how to get them great locks everyone wants.
The other products are great and i would definately recvomend everyone to have a go.
It is relatively cheap but compared to other high street shampoos it isn't. When i go on holiday to America though I stock up as it's a lot cheaper there.
It's signature colour purple and it's smelly is easily recognisable!
