Advantages: Very effective conditioner and leaves hair looking sleek and smooth.
Disadvantages: None
Having been a long term user of Aussie Moist products I decided to try a sister product called Frizz Miracle Conditioner which said it was for flyaway and fuzzy hair. With all this dreadful winter weather we have been having I thought I would try this for a change. I also bought the matching shampoo but this review is concentrating on the performance of the conditioner.
On offer at Superdrug it was 2 bottles for £5 and this price to me seemed reasonable.
The first thing I noticed when opening the bottle was that it was not the same luscious smell which is in the other range I adore so much. Instead this one does not rely on macadamia nuts, but on blue gum leaves, for its moisturising and taming properties. The leaves are from Eucalyptus trees which are a subject close to my heart at the moment, with the dreadful bush fires in Australia raging out of control. The tall trees are so combustible they burn rapidly, and help to spread the fires to homes as they are so near to houses. I felt very very humbled this morning using this conditioner and thinking about the poor victims of these fires. It is so often that ingredients we take for granted in everyday products come from areas so affected by climate change, and by extremes of weather and natural and man made disasters.
The smell is pleasant and is reminiscent of the hairdresser quality treatments you get in a salon, quite distinctive, but not something you could pinpoint to a fragrance or a fruit.
It is duck egg blue in colour and it does not come out easily if you invert the bottle, you have to squeeze gently-not too quickly or it pops out in a globule and you end up with too much.
It is creamy, almost like it should be a face cream and it coats the hairs beautifully and rinses off quickly and easily. You only need a small amount - I used about a walnut sized splodge.
The results are really very good. The comb passes straight through it, and after drying and styling the hair looks sleek and controlled. I have very thick coloured hair which can be difficult to tame for the whole day, especially if I go outside for any length of time in misty or damp weather. This product was extremely effective at delivering a very good result.
There was no need to follow it with any kind of leave in spray, and the overall experience was great. I must say I find all the Aussie products to be very reliable and this one is no exception. Where it falls down compared to say the Moist version is the smell as it doesn't quite have that wow factor of the outstanding fragrance that has, but apart from that its ability to smooth the hair and tame any frizz is outstanding.
If you would like more imformation about Aussie products go to www.aussiehaircare.co.uk.
Here you can view all the ranges and you can also sign up to their mailing list known as the A List. This often yields free samples so is well worth it.The company makes the shampoo here in the UK so it isn't as I used to think a product which actually gets bottled in The Outback.
A great conditioner and another Aussie product which does exactly as it says.
Summary: A great Aussie product which does everything it claims.
