Advantages: Shiny hair

Disadvantages: The Smell

I have been reading reviews on Aussie products since I signed up to DooYoo and until then I had completely forgotten about the brand.

On Friday I noticed that both my shampoo and conditioner were about to run out at the same time.
As I was in the middle of my night shifts I knew I wouldn't be able to hold out until I could get into town, so had to pop to my local and rather small Tesco store.
I had a browse of the Aussie products they had to offer and settled on a shampoo and conditioner.
I really wanted the 3 minute miracle but at a pound more than the Frizz Miracle for flyaway frizzy hair, I chose the latter.

I paid £3.45 for my 250ml bottle (why smaller than the shampoo I wonder?) which promised keep frizzes under control and smooth.

Now I wouldn't say that my hair is frizzy but the choice I had in front of me was limited and I had it in my head I was trying Aussie.

Today I have used it for the first time and sadly I think it will be the last...
I washed my hair with the Aussie shampoo which I will review later, and went to apply the conditioner.

I opened the push down lid with relative ease it was a little stiff but still not difficult with wet hands, and squeezed a little of the conditioner into my hand, the first thing that hit me was the smell.
The conditioner is a minty blue colour and quite thin compared to other conditioners I have used in the past, which meant I didn't need to use a lot maybe this is why the bottle is smaller?

I rubbed into the ends of my hair and the smell was even stronger, I can't think of a way to describe it to be truthful with you apart from EURGH!!

I normally like to leave conditioner on my hair for a couple of minutes although the directions on this bottle don't tell you to, which was a good job for me as the smell was really overpowering. I had to rinse it off as quickly as possible.

The conditioner is made using Australian Blue Gum Leaves Extract which is what I'd guess the smell is but I couldn't tell you not having smelled them before.

Once I'd towel dried and then finished off with the hair drier I was actually quite impressed with the end result. It didn't seem as static as usual and had a nice shine to it.

This is a shame as unfortunately I can still smell the conditioner on my dry hair, and it's actually given me a headache.

Obviously the smell won't be such an issue to everyone, if you're interested in trying this conditioner then I would recommend taking a sniff in the shop and seeing what you think of it before buying it.

I won't be using it again... I'll have to see if anyone I knows wants it?

I actually left this at my Mum's house the other day - I'd made her smell my hair and she said it smelled nice. She tried it on Friday and phoned my mid afternoon to say the smell was getting annoying by then.

Thanks for reading.

Summary: Not for me

SweetBerryJam - I'm not sure I've used one of the 3 minute miracles before and liked it but I think they have a few now?
I'm off to Boots later I'll have to have a sniff of them ;o)
