Advantages: Smells lovely, good value, works.
Disadvantages: The smell if you do not like.
My shampoo is a little different to the one shown here as it is called Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo. However I guess that the principle is the same, only perhaps more so. With my aged hair attempting to resemble fuse wire, both in colour and texture, it certainly needs a helping hand. I suppose it does not help either that I now have my hair dyed blond, at the hairdressers, having been a natural brunette all my life. Still I always wanted to grow old disgracefully.
I have tried an Aussie product before and was really pleased with the results. So whilst out shopping in Wilko, and looking for a true miracle for my slightly dry and very damaged hair, I came across this shampoo and thought I may as well give it a go. Priced at £2 something or other for a 300ml bottle it was reasonably priced. Especially if it did the trick. So what was the verdict?.
Well I love this product. I do not quite know what it is a bout the smell but I adore it. I just cannot describe the smell though. The shampoo itself is a glossy thick affair which is a rich golden colour.
The bottle has the manufacturer's claims that this shampoo:-
Is for hair that is dry or damaged or just a bit unhappy.
Contains Queensland Macadamia Nut extract, which infuses moisture into dry, damaged hair, helping hair become smooth and in good condition.
Perhaps the nut extract adds to the smell I do not know. I know however that if you take a good sniff of the shampoo up close it almost makes your eyes water and takes your breath away a little, so take care. Of course I had to do this in the name of product research.
Shampooing directions advise that you really soak your hair before massaging this shampoo into your hair, roots and scalp. Then before rinsing it recommends that you take a deep breath of the wonderful aroma. If you do and you can think what it reminds you of let me know. All I know is that the smell is strange, a little different and I love it.
You do not need to use much of this product at a time, as a little goes a long way. Even a small amount leaves the lovely smell in your hair.
I must say also that the results have been good. My hair is definitely looking silkier, less dry and is less flyaway. Please note though that I do not use a hairdryer or drying products. The hairdresser does on my locks though, once every six weeks.
Aussie products are made in the UK under the trademark Aussie.
I shall definitely look out for the matching hair conditioner next time I am in Wilko as I am sure that my hair would benefit from a full Aussie workout.
Recommended as a great product that goes a long, long way.
Merry Christmas
And thanks for reading.
