Advantages: Long lasting, does what it says, smells lovely, good for those with sensitive skin

Disadvantages: Can be a bit more expensive than other 'high street' hair brands

The product I've been using is the Aussie Hair Care Miracle Moist shampoo. The bottle I'm using I actually got given as part of an Aussie gift pack at Christmas, though it is just a normal sized bottle which normally retails at £3.99. The fact that I'm still using the same bottle, 2.5 months later is a miracle in itself and that's not even going into the miracle it performs on my hair!

The packaging:
Aussie packaging is generally quite basic but instantly recognisable by the simple pale yellow or white bottoms and the caps that pop open to reveal a small hole, which stops you from dispensing too much shampoo in one go! The packaging always informs you of what hair type it is intended for and generally goes into the ingredients used, giving you a brief but well written description of the experience you'll get when using it.

The shampoo:
Some shampoos feel really watery and weak when you squeeze them onto your hands ready to lather up, but this is definitely not the case with any Aussie product. The shampoo feels thick and substantial and it lathers really well meaning that you don't feel like you need to use loads! A little goes a long way and your hair definitely gets a good wash with even only a blob the size of a 10p coin (which is the amount these beauty magazines always recommend you use!). In fact, I think if anything it's so thick it would perhaps be possible to use too much! It also smells really nice, I can't really describe it but it's a rich smell, not too sweet or fruity smelling like other brans - I don't want wasps and insects thinking I'm a flower thank you!

The effect on your hair:
This really does what it says on the tin (or bottle!), it makes my hair smell lovely and it feels soft, smooth and a lot less dry than usual. It creates the perfect balance and my hair still feels soft and silky the next day too. It's ideal for use in the cold, harsh winters we've been having but I'd imagine it's also great for when the sun has been drying out your hair, or if you've been swimming and need to get all that horrible chlorine out!

Sensitivity:
My brother and I both use this and we both suffer from sensitive skin in various forms. My skin dries out and gets rashes if a product is too harsh and this hasn't happened with this. My brother who works in a hair salon started using this after the designer salon branded shampoo caused him to have really dry, flaky skin and he's seen massive improvements since he changed. Obviously I can't guarantee this will be the case with everyone, but it seems to be quite a gentle product!

The price/offers:
A bottle of this generally retails at around £3.99, which is quite expensive compared to some other brands, however I've found this to be better than 'designer' hair brand products I've used and better than cheaper products, so I think it's worth every penny! Also, I've seen regular offers on Aussie products in Tesco, Superdrug and Boots, though Boots' offers seem to be more expensive than the former two! Tesco and Superdrug have both run 2 for £5 offers recently and Tesco also offered gift packs over Christmas which were reduced just before Christmas and further in the January Sales (if you can get hold of a pack - I couldn't!)

Overall:
I would say this product is great value for money, it's the best shampoo that I've used and is true to it's name!

Summary: Creates soft, silky hair that smells and looks great!
