Advantages: Hydrates. Smells Nice. Easy to use. Accessible.

Disadvantages: I reacted to it (I do have a sensitive scalp). My daughter developed dandruff.

Aussie Moist Shampoo is a shampoo I have tried in the past post-holiday when my hair was very dry and frizzy - and as this shampoo is designed to return moisture back to the hair, I really thought that this would be something worth trying. The shampoo is fairly easy to get hold of as it can be got in most of the main supermarkets. I got my bottle from Tesco and it cost me £3.40 for a 300ml bottle - which I thought was an okay price and sat middle of the range price-wise out of the shampoos I normally opt for. I have seen recently that Tesco are selling two bottles for the price of £6.00 and therefore making a saving - and £6.00 for 600mls makes it a little more reasonable.

The packaging is quite plain, but it looks professional - but in that kind of non-glossy way. There are various types of Aussie hair products and this clearly states that this is Aussie Moist Shampoo - as well as giving a brief synopsis about the specific qualities of this shampoo. The directions are clearly printed and are pretty much the same as every other shampoo on the market.

The bottle has a screw lid and the shampoo comes out easily when the bottle is tipped. The instructions are simply to wet hair, massaging in shampoo to hair and scalp - and then rinse. The shampoo rinsed well and there didn't appear to be any obvious residue left on my hair.

There are a few positives to using this shampoo. Firstly, the smell is gorgeous and it smells fresh with a very slight floral fragrance to it which is not at all overpowering. This fragrance remains after the shampoo has been rinsed off and once my hair had been dried - indeed the fragrance lasted for about 24 hours. Secondly, my hairs hydration did improve and over a few washes was in better condition. I didn't feel the need to use conditioner when I used this shampoo - which cuts down on the time needed to do a quick wash and also on cost.

However, I did have to discontinue using the shampoo as I found that the psoriosis on my head really flared up. I do suffer from psoriosis and as such I do have a sensitive scalp that reacts to certain products. It was a shame that I reacted to the shampoo in this way because initial results were good. Having said this, my daughter, who does not have a sensitive scalp found that over the course of completing the bottle, that she developed dandruff and so also stopped using it.

Summary: Does hydrate - but not good if you have very sensitive skin.
