Advantages: erm, erm, erm NONE!
Disadvantages: See op
With a blurb on the bottle that informed me to stop whinging over the state of my dry hair and promised that it's unique formula of Australian Queensland Macadamia nut would infuse moisture into my over processed hair I was sold! The fact that it came on a special offer of two bottles in the Aussie range for a fiver made it even more appealing! Now with a name like Aussie Hair care you'd assume that this was shipped over by Quantas in bulk. Aussie Hair care is in fact manufactured by Clairol a subsidy of Procter and Gamble here in the UK. with a range of different products from shampoo's, conditioners, and hair gels the company makes the most of the Oz theme with most containing some wonder Oz ingredient! The company seem to play on the fact it has so called natural ingredients in it! Packaging wise this little baby ain't the cutest kid on the block, with a rather cheap and slightly tacky look to it. The bottle really does look like one of those so called bargains you'd find in the proliferation of pound shops that clutter up most High streets! In all honest if it had not had that eye catching special offer sign above it in Morrisons I'd have walked past. With a creamy beige opaque plastic bottle and cheap tacky printing on it it hardly inspires you with great confidence in it's so called Miracle cure for dry hair. With a flip top lid the bottle really does not scream classy at you far from it! It screams CHEAP, NASTY and TACKY! The one thing you will notice on flipping the lid open is a very strong pungent aroma that can only be described as a chemically bubble gum smell! With the blurb waxing lyrically about the Macadamia nut I honestly thought the aroma would be some what nutty. &
#87;ith the thought I was going to be pouring the shampoo equivalent of a Bazooka Joe Bubblegum all over my hair I was slightly worried! After wetting my hair -not saturating as Aussie suggests I tentively squeezed a dollop of the bubble gum smelling shampoo into the palm of my hand. Thankfully it was not a bright pink colour otherwise I'd have definitely not used it! With a perlescent creamy beige colour, it is a remarkable thick shampoo! Given that the company play on the fact it is packed with the brown chestnut coloured Macadamia nut you'd think it would be a slightly more darker shade that what it actually is! Aussie suggest you massage the shampoo deeply into your roots and scalp then breath in deeply to enjoy the fragrant aromatics! After massaging it into my hair there really was no need to breath in deeply the pungent aroma was most evident! in fact it was rather overwhelming! If this was suppose to have some relaxing and calming aromatherapy type effect on me it had quite the opposite effect! It stank even worse than it did in the bottle! Miracle Moist does how ever produce a rich creamy lather to help clean your hair, a very good indicator of how many more chemicals they add to this shampoo! After several rinses I finally got rid of the bubblegum smelling suds! Now with most shampoo's you might still notice a faint clean shampoo smell for a few hours after washing, this is wear Miracle Moist differs, you know you've used this shampoo for hours afterwards as the bubblegum aroma clings practically to every strand of hair with a vice like grip for hours! My sole reason for purchasing this shampoo was due to the fact it promised to infuse moisture into my dry and damaged hair. I did preserve above and beyond the call of duty I'd add with this shampoo and the conditioner I bought for dr
y hair in the range. But in all honesty I can say it doesn't infuse moisture into my dry hair, in fact if any thing it made my hair somewhat more drier and porous! I've gone back to Andrew Collinge and I promise not to be unfaithful ever again! well till the next time I see a special offer sign! The smell alone is off putting but given the fact it didn't live up to it's promises Aussie can keep their Macadamia nuts! I wont be rude and say where I'd like them to put them......
