I am an absolute addict of Aveda. The first thing that attracted me about the range was: 1. The fact that they only use natural ingredients. All the ingredients are plant based and the fragrances are all natural essential oils. They are not tested on animals either. 2. The smell of all the products. I have always been into aromatherapy and all the Aveda products use the highest quality essential oils in their recipes. Each product smells different. My personal favourite smell in this range is the Deep Penetrating Hair Revitaliser, which smells of bergamot, so it has quite a citrus, fresh smell. In fact it's the only one I would dream of using on my delicate hair (delicate, that is, because of the amount of abuse I subject it to!). Generally, I don't think leave-in conditioners are especially good for very dry or fragile hair, but this one is protective enough for those days when you wash and really haven't got time to faff about with anything else. I also have a friend with afro-caribbean hair who smooths this into the ends of dry hair a few times a day to combat frizz. I like this because it's not heavy or greasy in any way. I was afraid of conditioner! But not anymore. I hated conditioning my fine hair because it always looked dull and lank a few hours after using one, and was impossible to style. But if I didn't use one my hair was full of static electicity and shredded on the ends. Then one day I found the answer Aveda. I started out carefully using the rosemary and mint the lightest strenth in the range and there was great nothing to be scared of here. But once I had built up a little confidence I wanted more, something that worked as well but took less time.
