It is quite a nice concistency, not too thick but not too thin and is more like a cream than a liquid, it is cream in colour and has a creamy, milky smell to it which is lovely. It is very silky to the touch and makes a slippery little baby even slipperyer when applied to there shin so be careful. I was given a small trial bottle of this in my bounty pack when i had my oldest daughter. For those of you who dont know what bounty packs are, they are packs which you are given whilst you are pregnant and for the first few months with your new baby, they contain samples of different baby products. This was only a trial bottle so was quite small but it lasted me a few baths.
