      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Defiantly worth a try

I am very fussy when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. I seen this one was on offer in the Avon mag for £1 so I thought I would try it.
This is by far the best shampoo I have ever used. My hair is dry and curly and is a nightmare to brush as it gets very notty but when I use this shampoo when out of the shower I brush my hair and the brush now houses through my hair it feels lovely and silky. It has a lovely smell to it.
Everytime I see a Avon book I'm ordering 2-3 of these as they are outstanding. Great value for money. Also some shampoos can leave your hair looking or feeling greasy but this one doesn't it gives it a natural shine. I have tryed the other Moroccan products from Avon and I would recomend them all.
      :)

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A shampoo that incorporates the miracle that is Argan oil

I am a bit of a tart when it comes to shampoo, at any one time in my bathroom I have about 5 different ones on the go. Since I have started the gym I wash my hair daily instead of every other day and I noticed using the same shampoo was starting to make it unmanageable.

I buy Avon from one of my work colleagues having tried the oil in this range I decided to buy the shampoo as it was half price at £1.30. Avon frequently have offers on their products. I have never tried shampoo from Avon in the past and if I am honest I wasn't expecting a lot as this was so cheap.

When the bottles were given to me I couldn't believe how compact they looked. They contains 250ml of shampoo which is in line with other products on the market. The bottle is really stylishly designed it is ergonomically shaped and fits nicely in the hand. The bottle is a pale grey with a turquoise lid. The front of the bottle emphasizes that this shampoo nourishes 360 degrees and that it contains argan oil.

The shampoo is suitable for all hair types. On the back of the bottle the label needs to be peeled to reveal the instructions. Inside the label it also tells me that the shampoo contains argan oil and vitamin E which leave hair feeling smoother, softer and more manageable.

To use the shampoo you simply wet hair, apply the desired amount lather and rinse. The shampoo has a really thick creamy white consistency. This shampoo smells amazing. The smell is really fruity and fresh. I found I only needed a small amount to give my hair a good wash. It rinsed out easily too.

I would now describe my hair as normal. I have dyed it brown whereas previously I was naturally blonde with highlights which left my hair dry and damaged. Now my hair is tolerant of most shampoos but I do find that some can make it look flat and a little lifeless. After using this shampoo my hair had a lovely shine to it. My hair looked glossy and it was so easy to style. After blow drying I only needed to quickly brush the straighteners over as it was so sleek and straight just from blow drying something not all shampoos can achieve.

I am really impressed with this shampoo especially for the price. It leaves my hair looking great. I also recommend the hot oil treatment weekly with it too for best results.

Top marks for this shampoo it's great!

      Disadvantages

      Shampoo

      Avon argan oil shampoo

Having read a lot about the benefits of argan oil for hair I have started using some of the products to see for myself.

      THE PROMISES...

This promises to effectively cleanse hair leaving it feeling smoother, stronger and more manageable*. It will apparently instantly detangle hair and contains Argan Oil and vitamin E to keep hair in great condition.

      PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...

The shampoo comes in a 250ml plastic bottle with the instructions and information written on the inside of the peel off label on the back of the bottle. It has a flip up to open flip down which means it can be stood on its top or bottom- I prefer bottom to prevent any of the product leaking out of the top.

The shampoo itself is white in colour and quite thick in consistency; this definitely wants to start to lather u as soon as I put a bit onto my hand to have a smell. It has quite a floral scent which I really like and which leaves me hoping it will linger on my hair to give that just washed smell.

      USING THE PRODUCT...

The shampoo should be used as any other shampoo. Add a small amount to the hair massage into the hair and then rinse off. This should be repeated for really clean hair. Because it works to a lather really easily it is important to use just a small amount or your hair will become really soapy and it then takes ages to rinse out.

      PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...

The shampoo is avialbale from Avon catalogues and also online at www.avonshop.co.uk. It is on offer at the moment and costs £1.29 instead of £1.50 for 250ml; even at the full price this is great vale given that it lasts for ages.

      VERDICT...

This shampoo leaves my hair really "squeaky" clean and manageable. It doesn't leave it overly soft and fly away and even without following the shampoo with a conditioner my hair isn't left dried out. However, to get my hair in really good condition it is still best to use a conditioner. The shampoo is suitable for all hair types and can be used daily, since it is gentle on the hair.

A recommended shampoo and one which I would buy again.

      Thanks for reading

      Daniela xx

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Well worth a try

I've read a lot recently about Argan oil and when I saw the hair products in my latest Avon book I figured it'd be an inexpensive way to give it a try. Apparently in Morocco they use argan oil to nourish hair, skin and nails so I was secretly hoping for soft, shiny and smooth locks by using both the shampoo and conditioner. Particularly as I've felt my hair has been quite dry recently with the heat.

        *Packaging*
The slim bottle is silver with a turquoise clip shut lid. One thing I've noticed with other Avon hair shampoo and conditioner sets is that it is difficult to tell them apart. The only real difference is that when the shampoo label is the correct way up, the lid is at the top whilst the conditioner lid ends up being at the bottom. On the reverse of the bottle is one of those peely-up labels which reveals the ingredients and how to use. Interestingly this range is made in Poland. The size of this bottle at 250ml is good for travelling and not too cumbersome within the bathroom although I guess a larger bottle might be better economy.

        *Product Claims*
"Effectively cleanses hair leaving it feeling smoother, stronger and more manageable. Instantly detangles hair." (Avon.com)

        *Appearance and Fragrance *
The fragrance is gorgeous; lovely and fresh. Others have described it as fruity but I wouldn't say it was. It has a thick, luxurious consistency.

        *What's it like to use?*
The product dispenses well from the packaging with minimal fuss and no clogged up holes. It lathers up thickly and richly and feels very luxurious. When rinsing out I can definitely feel a difference in tangles. It rinses out surprisingly easily given how thick the lather is and leaves hair squeaky clean. I've been using this in conjunction with the conditioner for just over two weeks and I can definitely say my hair looks healthier, softer and silkier. The smell lasts until I wash it again, which I personally love.

        *Summary*
I bought this product via my Avon rep for £2 (RRP £2.80) but I'm sure it will come up within other offers. It's a great price for a product that really does seem to nourish the hair. In my opinion it is one of those hidden gems from Avon which are worth the money. If this was marketed in much more expensive packaging by another brand no one would bat an eyelid! It simply feels luxurious.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Great for all hair types, helps with knots and frizz.

I saw this on special offer while browsing through my Avon Magazine and thought I'd try it. The product description says that it effectively cleanses hair, leaving it feeling smoother, stronger and more manageable. Like a lot of people, my hair plays havoc at times. Brushing my hair while blowdrying is often painful, since it tangles when I start to dry it. So the promise of this product sounded amazing to me.

          MY EXPERIENCE

The first thing I thought, when I opened the bottle, is how amazing it smells. It has a fresh, fruity aroma, which lasts all day. In fact, I used this yesterday morning, and my hair still smells amazing now. But what I was really hoping for, was painfree blowdrying, and this Shampoo really delivered. Of course, when you're blowdrying your hair, you'll always get knots; your hair is being blown around, so of course it's going to tangle. But when I use this Shampoo, I only get small, easy to manage tangles.

When my hair was dry, the first thing I noticed was I could still smell the Shampoo. Quite often I won't be able to smell it, especially after using heat protection spray. My hair was left incredibly soft, shiny, and healthy looking. The smoothness made it very easy for me to style my hair afterwards, and I had soft, bouncy hair all day.

          PRICE

Currently, Avon have this on offer for £1.60, which is fairly reasonable. But the usual price is around £2.80, and considering the bottle is small, and I like to get the Conditioner too, I don't buy it when it's full price. But when this is on offer, I get myself a few bottles. It's definitely worth the full price, but I can't afford to pay £6 for such small bottles very often.

          PACKAGING

Although I'd like a bigger bottle, I have to say that the small bottles are handy. At 250ml, they're small enough to take on holiday, and don't take up much space in my cubicle shower, which is always a bonus. The bottle is grey, with a blue lid, a very simple design.

I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a fragrant Shampoo, that keeps away the worst of the knots, and leaves hair feeling soft and shiny.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A really impressive shampoo from Avon that leaves hair silky soft

            Introduction:
I've been buying Avon products sporadically over the years and mainly when I was a Rep for around a year myself as it was so convenient to purchase my own products at the same time as placing an order. When I gave up being a Rep myself I relied on a local Rep in my area to order via, though she was very hit and miss and for a long period there was no one offering this service. I could easily order online through Avon's shop but I didn't want to be stung by P&P charges especially if only wanting the odd item or two, so I was very pleased when a school mum friend started running Avon just before Christmas making it easy for me to order once again.

I'd read several positive reviews about Avon's Moroccan Argan Oil hair products and as my hair has been lacking in lustre` and finesse recently, I decided to order the shampoo and matching conditioner to see if it could help make any much needed improvements to my dry hair.

Having just finished using up the contents from the shampoo, my review will now focus on my experience of using Avon's '360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo'..

What Avon have to say about this product:
"..effectively cleanses hair leaving it feeling smoother, stronger and more manageable whilst instantly detangling hair.."

            Price:
I was lucky that when I decided to order the shampoo it was on a half price offer, as were other products from the Advanced Techniques hair care range, so I took advantage and ordered the shampoo, conditioner and a leave in hair treatment. I bought the smaller sized bottle of 250ml which is currently half price again at £1.40 with it's regular RRP being a still reasonable £2.80. There is also a larger 400ml size available which is £4.50 though is also currently on an offer price of £2.70 making it an economy purchase.

            Availability:
This is an Avon product so can be bought via a Rep by ordering through them after choosing from a brochure. Alternatively there is also an Avon shop online as mentioned in an above paragraph, though ordering this way often incurs a P&P charge unless you spend over a certain amount so this isn't always ideal unless ordering a bulk amount of items, if interested though then the site is www.avonshop.co.uk. Ebay always have a large selection of Avon items so it's worth checking out this and similar sites if after something in particular.

            Packaging:
The shampoo is housed in a very sleek looking bottle which is slim line from the side view with a much wider appearance. Made of a sturdy but squeezable plastic, the bottle is easy to hold which I think is an important factor when your hands are slippy whilst showering the last thing you want is a cumbersome bulky bottle. To access the shampoo there is a lid perched on top with an overhanging lip that is easy to both open and close and is an attractive shade of blue which contrasts nicely against the matte silver looking bottle. The Avon logo is in a bold black font with the Moroccan Argan Oil wording underneath in a glitzy gold colour and all in all it has a very attractive look to it, whereas some Avon products - as good as they are - can look a bit 'cheap'.

            My experience of using this:
I'd heard so many positive things about this shampoo, in fact the whole range of Moroccan Argan Oil range, that I was really looking forward to trying this out for myself. I have natural blond hair but like most people that do it starts to look a tad dull the older you get and now I'm the grand old age of 37 I also have a few sneaky grey hairs so because of these reasons I like to colour my hair every few months to basically brighten it up. I try to take good care of my hair and use reputable hair products as 'cheap and cheerful' ones unfortunately leave it dry and whilst I am a big fan of the Aussie range my purse isn't. Searching for an alternative I was eager to try this range so when my friend started running Avon it was one of the first items I ordered and couldn't wait to start using it.

On opening the bottle for the first time in the shower I applied a small blob of around the size of a 20p coin to the palm of my hands before applying to my already wet hair. I've found that for different shampoos you need different amounts and as this was the first time I had tried this I thought I'd go for the lesser amount as I could always apply more if need be, I have shoulder length hair so presumed this would suffice.

The shampoo itself is quite thick in consistency though not so much that it 'blobs' out of the bottle and I found it emitted quite smoothly and consistently when I tipped the bottle. Appearance wise the shampoo is bright white in colour with a slight pearl like iridescent hue whilst the texture is smooth and velvet like to the touch. Fragrance wise it has a fresh and clean aroma that reminds me very much of Pantene products (which is no bad thing as far as I'm concerned).

The shampoo lathers up immediately when it comes into contact with the running water from the shower and I could instantly feel it's moisturising properties as my hair was easy to wash without feeling tangled like some shampoos can make it feel like. I found it to feel smooth on my hair and whilst it lathered up quite intensely creating lots of bubbles it also took minimal time to rinse away as well.

            Results:
After rinsing I was impressed how soft my wet hair felt though proceeded to use the matching conditioner as my hair becomes too brittle if I don't condition it regardless of the shampoo used. Towel drying my hair though was an easy task as was combing through my hair afterwards with a large toothed comb.
I dried my hair in the usual manner by blasting it with my hair dryer then using my heated roller brush to smoothen it down and add a bit of body. All the while I found my hair felt super soft and easy to manage which made washing and styling my hair a pleasure rather than a task.

Once fully dry and styled my hair looked smooth, felt soft and had no flyaway hairs which I always find to be a problem. The beautiful aroma lingered and was evident every time I turned my hair (in a 'just stepped out of a salon' way!) and could smell the fresh clean scent that seemed to have adopted a fruity aroma once dry.

I've been really impressed with this shampoo as not only suitable for all hair types, it's left my hair clean, not irritated my scalp but most importantly it's left my hair feeling soft and super smooth. The low price is also a bonus and because a small amount is needed each time even the smaller bottles work out economical at full price (though are often on offer).

This is highly recommended by me and I've been really impressed with the effects it's had on my dry(ish) hair as it's been much easier to wash and style and combing has been easy as it's now nearly always tangle free. I still love Aussie products but now I know that when money is tight then this shampoo can be used instead and will give the same great results.

            5/5

              Disadvantages

              highly recommended

This is a review of the shampoo I recieved this Christmas along with the conditioner from the Avon range. As my Mother in Law is an Avon rep, I often receive products from her that she says are popular with her customers and come with a recommendation.

              Description
The shampoo is 250ml and comes in a silver coloured plastic bottle with a turquoise lid. The shampoo is suitable for all hair types.

              In use
The product is a white pearlescent colour and not too thick so it is easy to squeeze from the bottle. I find a 50p sized blob is enough to get a lather going and it washes easily from the hair. I have always used this at the same time as the conditioner from the same range. The shampoo has a lovely fruity smell to it.

              Price
A 250ml bottle is normally £2.80 but it is currently on offer for £1.95 which I think is a good price.

              My thoughts
I love this shampoo, it is really different to the other shampoos I have used and I really think the argan oil makes a difference. It claims to offer 360 (degree) nourishment for the hair follicules. It really helps with detangling knotty hair and leaves my hair very soft and manageable. I have had compliments on my hair after using this shampoo which is impressive as I normally wash and leave it to dry most of the time.

              Final word
I love this shampoo and will definitely buy it again in the future. It really has made a difference to my hair and is a lot better than the other shampoos I have used that were in a similar price range. I can see why so many people rate this shampoo highly and recommend it to all.

FAB SHAMPOO WORKS WONDERS FOR MY HAIR

ADVANCE TECHNIQUES ARGAN OIL SHAMPOO BY AVON

              ***THE PRODUCT***

This shampoo comes in a gray plastic bottle with blue and gold colouring on it, the bottle is 250ml in size and is only available to purchase from an avon rep or avon online and is £2.80 a bottle but often found to be on offer.
The shampoo has a pearl effect to it and is a white/pearl colour, I have found the consistency of this to be slightly runnier to other shampoos from avon that I have used before. This bottle has a flip lid and the shampoo contains argan oil and vitamin e and is suitable for all hair types.

              ***WHY I PURCHASED THIS***

A friend of mine is a hair dresser and I was speaking to her one day about my hair and how it lacks shine, has split ends, is dry and dull, basically ruined due to me having extensions put in a few times and due to the amount of colour I have put in and still do use in my hair and she recommended this shampoo, she also advised me to use the other products which come in this range.
The other products available are argan oil conditioner, hair mask and a leave in treatment.

              ***MY OPINION ON THIS PRODUCT***

I have been using this shampoo for a month now I use this 2-3 times a week, the rest of the time I use my vosene shampoo.
After just a few washes with this shampoo I started to notice a difference in my hair, it now looks healthier and after being washed and conditioned and styled by hair as a lovely shine to it, I also find that my hair isn't so fly away anymore.
When I first used this and seen that the consistency was slightly runnier than other shampoo's by avon I wasn't expecting much but it does lather up really well.
The shampoo has a slightly fruity scent to it and makes my hair look and feel good like I have just had it done in a salon.
I've just under quarter of a bottle left of this and will be purchasing it again, and would recommend this to anyone who has dull hair that needs some life and shine adding to it.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

I like this shampoo but do not like the smell very much

                WHAT IS IT?

Shampoo from Avon that contains Moroccan Argan Oil.

                THE SHAMPOO

This shampoo is quite thin so it comes out of the bottle a bit too quick.  It smells a bit fruity but I can still smell the oil in it and I do not think it has got a very nice smell.  The smell does not linger on my hair after I have rinsed and dried it so that is good. It makes a good lather that feels soft and is very quick and easy to rinse out.

                WHAT I THINK

I like this shampoo because it makes my hair feel very clean and soft after I have washed it.  My hair also looks shiny and that lasts until the next time I wash it even though I use a lot of styling products on my hair. I do not like the smell but it is ok because of it not lingering, if it stuck to my hair I probably would not want to use it because I don't like it.

When I use it without conditioner it still makes my hair soft and shiny but it is better to use it with the Argan Oil conditioner.  The shampoo cleans my hair very well and my hair feels smooth after I have washed it, it is easy to style because the shampoo does not make my hair flyaway and just leaves it with a soft and sleek finish.

                ANYTHING ELSE

A 250ml bottle of this shampoo costs about £3 but because you do not have to use very much it lasts for quite a long time.  I used it on my daughters hair when we went to a Christmas party because her hair goes a bit frizzy sometimes and it stopped that happening while we were out even though her hair got damp.

                4 Dooyoo Stars.

                  gorgeous shampoo!

                  ~Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo~

Avon offer a number of hair care products in their Advanced Techniques range. Today I will be discussing my use of the '360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo'.

This hair care range is suitable for all hair types and includes a shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and a hair oil. Avon claim that this shampoo will cleanse hair whilst leaving it 'feeling smoother, stronger and more manageable.' It should also 'instantly detangle hair'. This shampoo is enriched with Argan oil and vitamin E.

                  ~Packaging~

This shampoo is presented in a rather simple, plastic bottle which has a silver and blue colour theme. The bottle is quite slim in design and features a flip top cap for easing dispensing. This bottle can be recycled and carries a 12month shelf life from first use.

                  ~Price and Availability~

Avon products are available through your local rep and from www.avonshop.co.uk. A 250ml bottle of this shampoo is £2.80 at full price but is currently on offer at just £1.40.

                  ~My Thoughts~

I change shampoo and conditioner regularly as I don't like my hair to get too used to one brand or range. I recently purchased the shampoo and conditioner in this hair care range as it was recommended by a fellow reviewer - thank you Alyson29! I bought them through my Avon rep on a half price deal. I feel £2.80 is a fine price for a good shampoo but prefer to stock up on Avon products when they are offered at a reduced price.

I have been using this shampoo a few times per week for the last 2-3 weeks and have been quite impressed with it. I have used it alone when pushed for time but I have mainly opted to use this followed by the matching conditioner. I feel this gives the best all round results. I often opt for shampoo aimed at those with dry or damaged hair. I sometimes find that products aimed at 'all hair types' aren't nourishing enough for my thick, damaged hair. I can only comment on how well this performs in my hair type and not how well it would perform for those with oily or normal hair types.

This shampoo is a glossy white colour and adopts a fairly thick consistency. The first time I used this, I dispensed a good sized blob onto my palm and lathered it into my hair (which is half way down my back at the moment). It is worth noting that this shampoo is very rich when applied to soaking wet hair and does create a huge amount of thick, soft lather. For this reason, I have started applying slightly less per wash - a little definitely goes a long way with this shampoo.

I find the lather offered by this shampoo to be quite luxurious as well as being cleansing and gentle on my sensitive scalp. The scent of this shampoo is very favourable - fresh and slightly fruity. It is a little weaker than the matching conditioner but smells expensive and salon-like in my opinion. The shampoo takes a little longer to rinse from my hair due to the thick lather but once rinsed, no residue remains.

Using this shampoo alone, I am impressed by how clean and fresh my hair feels and looks. It doesn't irritate my scalp or agitate the patch of dryness I have on my scalp which is always a bonus. My hair feels soft, nourished and my colour seems to stay strong too. The scent lingers slightly. I find it best to follow up with the conditioner due to how thick and dry my hair becomes. Using both products together increases the scent and offers my hair a noticeable shine and beautiful softness.

                  ~Conclusion~

After washing and drying my hair, the results are really good and I have been impressed by how 'protected' my hair feels. I can style it or brush through and pop it up in a hair band with no issues. I normally wash my hair every second day but find I can go three days between washes (if I want to) when using this shampoo. It is of a high quality in my opinion.

£2.80 represents excellent value for money for this shampoo given how little is needed per wash. It performs well on my thick, unruly hair and leaves my hair looking and feeling really good without weighing it down with product residue. I will definitely buy it again.

                  Thanks for reading :)

This review was originally posted to ciao around 4 weeks ago and the price has been updated for dooyoo. I am coming to the end of my bottle and have since had my hair cut and layered so need to use even less. Still impressed with this shampoo. Conditioner review to follow!

                    Disadvantages

                    5 stars

I really struggle to find shampoo and conditioner that is right for my hair. I had recently invested in some Tigi bottles as it was one product I heard lots of fantastic feedback about. Unfortunately it didn't work very well for me and I had stupidly bought the massive salon sized bottles so was lumbered with it for months! When the time came to try a new product I was reluctant to spend nearly £30 on shampoo and conditioners again after my previous experience so I went to the other extreme and paid just £1.20 per bottle of shampoo and conditioner for the 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo from Avon.

I had heard that Argan Oil was the new big thing on the beauty scene and everyone seemed to be raving about it. Not wanting to spend a lot as I didn't really expect it to work, I figured I wouldn't lose anything by giving the Avon product a try when a catalogue landed on my doorstep. I couldn't have anticipated just how wrong I would be and I have just had a panic buy after realising I am nearly out, and so I have ordered 3 bottles of each!
My hair is extremely thick and so I have to avoid certain volume enhancing shampoo's as I end of looking like I am all hair and no face (wouldn't be a bad thing!), but this particular shampoo is suitable for all hair types. Within the range there is a conditioner as you would expect but also a hair mask and hair oil which I have yet to try (but will be doing so after the results I have seen from the shampoo and conditioner).

Since using the product I have noticed that my hair feels smoother and definitely stronger, which lives up to Avon's claims. It seems to stay cleaner for longer and doesn't feel greasy after 12 or so hours which my hair usually starts to do. The Vitamin E and the Argan oil within the shampoo has made it look glossy and locks in the moisture, while the Argan oil seems to provide endless benefits. Argan Oil has been proven to enter the hair shaft and penetrates and soothes to repair damaged hair follicles, so it works wonders for split ends.

Argan oil doesn't grease which is most likely why I have noticed an increase in the length of time before my hair starts to feel and look greasy. I recommended this product to my sister who has extremely tight curly hair which is prone to frizzing and she has noticed that her hair has become noticeably more manageable.

Argan oil works as a protection serum against the elements as it protects against pollutants and UV rays so it's a perfect hair care solution too and one that will definitely be coming with me on holidays.

The smell is difficult to describe but lovely! The silky and creamy looking shampoo feels luxurious to the touch and I love massaging it through my hair.

I didn't really have too high an expectation for this shampoo as I often find that products that are for all hair types are just no good for me, but this is in all honesty the best shampoo I have ever used (and I've used some expensive ones), and it's at an unbeatable price too. What are you waiting for?!!

                      Advantages

                      Disadvantages

Average Argan Oil Product from Avon..

Anybody who regularly reads my reviews will be aware by now that I work part-time as an Avon Representative, when my poor health allows. This means that I get great access to many of the Avon ranges, and I am offered the opportunity to sample many new additions to the assorted Avon ranges before they become available in the Avon brochures.

I had been intrigued with some new products that were added to the Avon "Advance Techniques" range of hair care products and accessories a while back, mainly because the new additions all contained an ingredient called "Moroccan Argan Oil." I knew of the beneficial qualities of this ingredient prior to the Avon brand introducing it in the formulation of some of their products. I decided to purchase the "Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo" and this review outlines my experiences of using the product.

I paid in the region of £1.50 for the 250ml bottle of shampoo a while back, a price that I think reflects good value for money. The normal price for the product is around £3 - £4 which still seems reasonable enough to me.

The packaging for the product is quite attractive, comprising of a silver bottle with a 'pearl-like' sheen to it. There is a turquoise cap made of robust plastic on top of the bottle, that features the usual 'flip up' design. There are colours of gold and turquoise used on the fonts and designs used over the bottle which offers an eye-catching appearance. I have found the packaging easy to use, even with limited mobility and weakness in my hands, although I do think it is worth mentioning that the plastic used in the bottle is quite 'hard' and I did experience a little difficulty with squeezing it to dispense the liquid contents once the bottle was only about a third full. This is probably something that wouldn't bother the average consumer too much, but for those with limited mobility like myself, it may be worth noting that a little help might be required once the bottle becomes less full.

The shampoo itself flows easily from the bottle, thanks to its consistency being quite runny. That is not to say that it spills everywhere or drips messily, and I find it's pearly white appearance to be quite attractive. The shampoo has a very strong smell which is evident even before I apply the shampoo to my hair and I will admit that I don't find it to be overly appealing. The aroma of the shampoo smells a little 'chemical' to me, although to be fair it feels as if Avon have done their best to 'mask' this a little with something slightly fruity/nutty and quite perfumed. All in all, the aroma feels slightly confused and rather 'false' but to be fair the scent of a shampoo product is not something that I consider to be of extreme importance, and I can't confess to finding the aroma and scent of my usual 'Colour Care' shampoo from the L'Oreal brand particularly appealing, either.

I found the shampoo lathered very easily on my wet hair, within a few seconds in fact. I felt too that only a small amount of product was needed to achieve a full lather, so the bottle of shampoo felt like quite an economical purchase. The lather achieved felt very soft and this in turn, felt quite nourishing.

One point that I did notice where the lather is concerned is that it felt very soapy when being massaged into my hair. This led me to feel slightly concerned about making sure that all the product was thoroughly rinsed from my hair, as I did feel the shampoo lathered rather excessively, and certainly much more than my usual shampoos. I found that a little practice was needed with this particular shampoo, as it required MUCH more rinsing than my usual brand due to the thick, soap-like quality that it has. The plus side of this rich lather is, of course, a much more 'nourishing' feeling obtained from the shampoo that is possibly attributed to the Moroccan Argan Oil ingredient. Whilst I can appreciate that the rich lather may appeal to most consumers and it may feel quite luxurious, for me personally it is something of a burden, and it has actually meant that there are lots of times that I am unable to use the Advance Techniques shampoo, purely because I cannot cope with the excessive rinsing that is required of my hair, in my often ill and fatigued state. At these times I have to bypass the product altogether, in place of something that is much more 'fuss free' in terms of its use. For the points I have detailed here, I will be deducting one mark from the product rating score as the overly-foamy lather feels very 'gimmicky' to me.

After (finally!) rinsing all of the shampoo from my hair, I always follow with a conditioner product, and this is what I have done every time I have used the Avon Argan Oil Shampoo. I then tend to apply a "Frizz Taming" product after towel drying my hair, mainly because I can suffer from frizz around the hairline at times. After using the Avon Shampoo, I noticed that my hair felt lovely and soft whilst my styling products were being applied, and it looked quite shiny, although this could be said of most occasions when I have just conditioned my hair.

During the drying process, I noticed that my hair felt slightly less 'flyaway' than it often does during the blow-drying routine, and I noticed too that my hair had a healthy-looking shine to its dark lengths. I always ensure my hair is cut regularly and do my best to protect the ends of my hair with a suitable barrier product when using heated styling appliances, so the ends of my hair are not in particularly bad condition and I suffer very little in the way of split ends too, so I cannot confess to noticing a huge difference to this part of my hair.

I did think that my hair looked shiny and quite healthy, and it did feel lovely and soft and without knots or tangles. I have to be completely honest however, and state that I did not feel overly 'blown away' by the results obtained, as they are very much on a par with most other shampoo products that I use regularly. It may be worth mentioning however, if your hair is particularly frizzy or suffers from heat damage or dryness, then you may achieve a higher level of results than I did. I do think the results will vary from consumer to consumer, and are very dependant on the kind of hair you have, in addition to the condition that your hair is in, prior to use.

Another valid point worth mentioning, I think, is that my expensive professional hair colouring suffered nothing from the product, in terms of fading or discolouration occurring, which I had been slightly concerned about prior to use, as I always use a 'Colour Care' product on my hair. I can happily report that coloured hair should cope perfectly fine with this product, as far as I can tell from my own experiences, at least.

The shampoo felt ok, and I was pleased enough with the results achieved, but I cannot confess to finding the results anything special. I am happily using the rest of my bottle, but I'm unsure whether to repurchase the product again.

In summary, I would perhaps buy the Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo again in the future, but I certainly wouldn't pay full price for it, or rave about it to my Avon customers. Three stars out of five for me, for this shampoo that felt rather 'average' which was disappointing to discover.

                        Disadvantages

                        A great product

A few months ago I was flicking through the Avon book and I found this range of products, I had decided to give the oil treatment a go so decided to buy the shampoo and conditioner to go with it too. I only ever buy Avon products when they are on offer as they come on offer that often that I don't see the point of paying full price.

The shampoo is available in 2 different sized bottles a 250ml bottle and a 400ml bottle and I bought the bigger bottle as it was the best value and I do always look for the best value in items to save the pennies.

The shampoo comes in a silver bottle like most of the Advance Techniques range and has a turquoise flip top lid which is pretty easy to open and some turquoise detailing on he bottle. The bottle states that the shampoo is for all hair types so covers anyones hair. It states on the Avon site that the shampoo "Effectively cleanses hair leaving it feeling smoother, stronger and more manageable*. Instantly detangles hair*. With Argan Oil and vitamin E"

The shampoo is quite thick but does come out of the bottle easily as there is quite a large hole under the flip top lid, the shampoo smells lovely but doesn't really have a scent apart from smelling fresh and clean. The shampoo lathers really well although the wetter your hair the better the lather. I find the lather feels lovely and soft and when I rinse it from my hair I don't feel that it leaves any residue behind.

I used the matching conditioner at the same time as this shampoo so cannot say which product did what for my hair but my hair was left feeling nice and soft and I felt there was a little less frizz to it too which is great. I found that my hair didn't tangle easily when using this product so was very impressed. I will be buying this again when I either find another Avon rep or have a big enough order to get free delivery from the site directly.

                        Advantages

                        Disadvantages

                        .

I was flicking through an Avon book the other month and on the front cover there was this product. I tend to use much the same Haircare products on my hair all of the time and I was unaware of Argan Oil and anything about it. My friend saw me looking through the book and went on to say all the benefits of this Oil and how great it was, so I decided to try the product for myself. Apparently you can buy Argan Oil products from salons but they are pretty expensive.

This range comes in a Shampoo, Conditioner, Serum and now a Hair Mask, but it is only the Shampoo and Conditioner I have tried so far. The Shampoo comes in a 250ml bottle which the right price is £3 but I picked it up for £1.40. The 400ml was on offer for £1.99. Not sure of the right price but I would guess that this would be £4. I just tried the smaller size since I wasn't sure how this would work on my temperamental hair. The bottle looks the same as the picture on here. A flip top plastic bottle which is easy enough to open even with wet hands. It looks ok.

This Shampoo is for all hair types. I tend to stay away from Shampoo which is for all hair as I have Greasy Hair so I prefer to use a Shampoo specifically for my hair type as I feel that it works best for it.

So what is the benefits of Argan Oil? Well it is meant to add moisture to your Hair. Since I straighten my Hair a few times a week and I have found myself reaching for the Hairdryer more often than not thesedays then I am concious that my Hair may be that bit dry and a bit moisture would be good.

The Shampoo is a medium thick consistency. It is not a Gel Shampoo and more of a Pearly Cream consistency. Just a little of this will lather up well and rinse off easily enough. The scent of this is nice. It is a fresh clean scent. After my Hair has been dried I can still smell the clean scent lingering.

So how do I find that this works on my Hair? I find that this is doing a good job. I am nearly finished my current bottle and have ordered another bottle to use. My Hair looks bright and shiny and although my hair is blonde and I would say it can sometimes be hard to get a nice shine on my Hair I find that it just look overall glossy. My Hair feels soft and in good condition. I use the matching Conditioner with this. I was worried that my Hair would still feel a bit greasy after using this but this does fine for the 2 days between washes.

A good Shampoo that everyone should try.

                        Advantages

                        Disadvantages

                        I love it

I received a selection of Avon Morrocan Argan Oil products for my birthday. They were actually the first present that I opened and I was really excited as I hadn't realised Avon had released this range. I already use an Argan oil product on my hair - Macadamia oil (which despite the name is part macadamia oil and part Argan oil) and it's done wonders for my hair. It is quite expensive so I was interested to see how the cheaper Avon alternative would compare.

The shampoo comes in a silver coloured plastic bottle with a bright turquoise blue flip top lid and the label also features turquoise accents. The colours fit in well with my bathroom colour scheme which I was quite pleased about!

The bottle states that this shampoo is suitable for all hair types. My own hair is long, thick and tends to get greasy at the roots quickly yet be dry at the ends. It is also coloured and reasonably damaged, which is why I was so keen to try this as I have found Argan oil to add moisture and improve the condition of the hair.

The shampoo itself is white with a slight pearly sheen to it. The smell is difficult to describe as I can't really pick out one particular ingredient in the fragrance. It's quite a clean salon-type smell with a slightly sharp fruity edge to it. It's a really nice fragrance, completely inoffensive in my opinion and it leaves my hair smelling fresh and clean.

I find this shampoo to lather well and the lather is creamy and feels luxurious. Having long hair I usually need to use a fair amount of shampoo per use, but with this one I can get away with only using a relatively small amount which has helped the product last well. I always follow with the matching conditioner.

When I first got this shampoo I was using it every two days. I found that after this continued use my hair started to feel a little bit greasy and lank. I have now switched to using it just once a week as a sort of 'treat' for my hair and this suits me much better. Those with drier hair may find it more suitable for daily use.

When using just once a week I find this shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny and manageable. It doesn't fade the colour at all and leaves my hair looking vibrant. I think since using this product the condition of my hair has significantly improved. Even with just the one use per week my hair is looking smoother, less frizzy and it also feels nice to the touch, so I'm thrilled with these results.

The shampoo comes in a 250ml and 400ml size. These cost £2.80 and £4.50 respectively but Avon often have special offers running, so there is a high chance you will be able to pick them up for less than this. Buy from your local Avon rep or at www.avonshop.com

Despite the fact I found this did not suit my hair when used continually, I am more than happy to use this product once a week and in fact look forward to it. I have already requested a second bottle for Christmas! If you're looking for a shampoo to give your hair a boost in terms of shine and condition then I would happily recommend this product.
