~ Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo ~
I have previously reviewed the Avon Moroccan leave in treatment oil and when I bought that I also purchased the shampoo and conditioner of the same variety.
My initial reason for purchasing the shampoo and conditioner was simply because they were on an introductory price offer and therefore were pretty cheap. I also like that I would have three products of the same variety to help me get my hair into a better condition.
Due to the introductory offer I paid £1.50 for this bottle of shampoo but it's usual RRP is £2.80, I can say though that due to it being an Avon product you may often find it on offer at a low price or included in some sort of deal.
Avon products can be bought from a local rep but if you don't have one available you can shop online at www.avonshop.co.uk, if bought from a rep you can expect your products to be delivered to the door for no extra charge, when buying online there will be a delivery charge.
As I had bought the much needed Moroccan Argan Oil, I thought it would benefit my hair to get the partners of this and I have to admit that I am quite impressed with the results.
This shampoo comes in a silvery/pearly coloured plastic bottle, the lid is in a pale turquoise colour and has a simple easy to open flip top lid. The front has a label with all the relevant information and the back hold a two-piece label one has the ingredients and the like and when peeled up the other holds the directions for use.
The shampoo itself is a pearly white colour and quite thick. I simply pour a little out of the bottle and onto my hand and then lather it into my hair where it bubbles up a little but not much. I do tend to prefer a shampoo that offers a lot of lather as I feel it 'looks' like it's working more! However I am pleased to say that whilst this shampoo doesn't offer a very bubbly look it does clean very well. I do tend to always follow any shampoo with a conditioner but as this is a shampoo that contains this Argan oil I did try it without. As my hair is coloured I don't feel this worked very well on my hair and after drying it, my hair did feel quite dry, it looked shiney but felt too brittle so I quickly went back up to the bathroom and proceeded to condition my hair.
I will say that my hair did feel clean so as a shampoo it did do it's job, I just needed a conditioner to stop my hair feeling so dry.
The shampoo has the scent of many other Avon shampoo's, well it is a scent that I associate with Avon shampoo's anyway. It's just a clean fresh smell, I don't detect any chemically scents so that's a good thing!
I would recommend this shampoo to be used alongside the pairing conditioner as my hair does feel in very good condition since using it. It seems to have smoothed out my frazzled ends and generally made my hair look in better condition.
Thanks for reading :o) x
Summary: A good product from Avon.
