Advantages: Shiny, knot free hair

Disadvantages: none

Avon Advance Techniques Dry End Serum is a serum for hair. I'm never sure how people use serums, as I often see people using it on dry hair, which when I've tried, it smooths the hair for a little while only to pop back up. I've used this product faithfully for about 8-10 years now.

I wash my hair, don't use conditioner, and then put the teeniest bit of this on my hair - you don't need a full squeeze or hair will be too greasy. I started using it because I have got very knotty hair and find it hard to comb through without conditioner, but I dont like using conditioner all the time as I find I have to wash my hair more often. Anyway, using a tiny speck of this, rub it all over my hands and smooth it onto my hair - mainly focusing on the ends as putting it near the roots makes hair greasy. Comb slides through my hair magically.

I always use it on wet hair, have used it once on dry after seeing someone do that, and it just made my hair look awful - so ALWAYS wet! When I run out of this, my hair always looks flat, not as shiny and much more frizzy than if I do use it. As for its 'split end' properties, well I do use straighteners every day and have very few split ends but not sure if thats anything to do with the serum or not as I have always used this!

You get 30ml which lasts me about a year or more washing my hair 2-3 times a week. It costs £4.50 at full price, but Avon always have offers on so you can sometimes pick it up at a bargain £2. Literally I don't think you'll find anything better. I've tried John Frieda in the past which was a load of rubbish. Another friend of mine has used this for years as well on my reccomendation, and won't use anything else now which I think is testament to how good it is.

Give it a go! :) Nice shiny, healthy looking hair, no knots!!!

Summary: Lasts ages, great product, great price

I agree serums are best used on damp hair, I have used serums on dry hair before but you need such a tiny amount. Might try this.
