Advantages: Does what you want it to!

Disadvantages: No instructions on bottle/ strange smell

I purchased this serum from Avon a few months ago and only just got around to using it! I'm not really a big person for using hair products, I never use anything past shampoo/conditioner and heat protectors! After finding that my hair was a bit dry at the ends though I thought it wouldn't hurt to try something to help at which point I stumbled across this. It costs £4.50 for 30ml of product although Avon often has offers on so look out for them you may find it cheaper!

The serum comes in a glass bottle with a green pump top, I find that when using it I need less then one pump although those with longer hair may need more. My advice is to try a little and if you need more then add it, don't start with lots as too much can cause hair to look and feel oily. Once I have the serum in my palm I rub my palms together to spread the product out and then apply it to the ends of my hair first and then to the rest (excluding the roots/scalp) trying to evenly distribute the serum. I think this can be done whilst wet or dry, I personally towel dry my hair then apply it before blowdrying my hair. I find that as well as moiturising the ends it also helps my hair to lose any static and generally stay in it's place!

One disadvantage to this product is that there are no usage instructions printed on the bottle, so to be honest I suggest giving it a go and seeing how it best works for you. It would be helpful if there were some guides on the bottle but I think as long as it is used in moderation and not on the roots you can't go too wrong (I hope).

Another point to note is that the smell isn't great. It isn't a bad smell it's just not overly pleasant, luckily you can't smell it in your hair but you can on your hands so be sure to wash afterwards!

Overall I think this product is good value for money, you only need a small amount so it will last and it does the job it is supposed to. I am giving it a 4/5 for this however it doesn't score full marks due to the smell issue.

Summary: A great product with a weird smell!!
