      Frizz begone!

I don't use this product often, as it feels greasy and means I end up washing my hair more often (which I think can be a chore.) However, for those special occasions, it's great, and really does the trick of leaving my hair frizz free. I picked up this 30ml bottle for about £2-3 from the catalogue when there was a promotional offer on. Although the serum only comes in a small bottle, a little goes a long way, so it doesn't run out quickly. I like this product as it makes my hair smell nice when I use it, with its subtle coconut fragrance. I also like how little I have to use to get good results, one squeeze of the pump is enough to apply to my hair when damp and work in all over, before finishing blow drying and straightening, for a frizz free look. However, this product isn't really suitable for use when you are not styling your hair after washing, and therefore, for me, I feel it is not an everyday solution to having frizzy hair. I don't have massively frizzy hair anymore, but this product certainly tames the frizz that is left.

A great product for lushious looking locks!!!!

Having very dry and frizzy hair i am always on the lookout for new anti frizz products to help me control my locks.... I recently came across this product and as it was on offer at £2.50 i decided to give it a go. I have been applying serum to my hair for around 3 years and normally i use another well known anti frizz serum (frizzeaze) which i have never had a problem with. I found this serum to be thinner in texture, at first i was disappointed with this, but when i applied it to my hair, i found that it went further, i could spread it through my hair more evenly and although the over all effect and feel of my hair was the same as the other brand, i prefered this pruduct. It is often on offer and tends to last longer so works out much cheaper as well as being slightly better for my hair due to it speading thinner. Simply apply to washed hair and style as normal for lushious locks or if straighening hair apply when wet as above and then apply a small amount to palms of hands right before you run fingers through hair to soften and give straight hair a healthy looking shine. beware you do not apply too much if using this method though as hair will then look greasey! I recommend this serum to anyone with curly or frizzy hair to help give hair a more controlled look!

A real bargain even at full price or double price, this works!

When I first came here and started reviewing I did some moaning about Avon products and Avon in general. I think I was just being a brand freak but as anyone who regularly reads my reviews will now know that I only order cos my Avon Rep, Anita is lovely! However just lately my purchases can only be described as pure miracles! The other thing people who regularly read my reviews will also know when it comes to my hair I just adore hair products I'm really proud of my barnet. Firstly I almost lost all my hair when I was younger from weekly dying my hair blonde and I had a close call when I went to my hairdressers and she was furious and told me if I dyed it once more my hair would stop growing! That was a worry so I did stop! I got away with that one. Then another thing that happened before Christmas is that I found my ideal colour (black) after going from being professionally dyed blonde last year and then to top off my new found obsession I had a load of £2.00 off hair products in Boots and stocked up on loads instead of buying whatever is on offer cheap in places and buying really decent stuff. I never rated hair care products in the past very highly until I bought the good stuff. So like I say I'm obsessed now and my hair is looking really glossy etc. So when my Avon lady comes now its not so difficult to buy something cheap to keep her happy. The Avon book always has stuff on offer really cheaply and so I bought this for half price with the attitude that if I don't like it for any reason it doesn't hurt to give it away at the price I paid! What It Is.... Avon, Advance Techniques Extra Strength Anti-Frizz Serum. The Packaging.... White recyclable box. Clearly states on the front what it is and who it is by (as I've stated). Has orange squiggles on the box. Loads of writing on the back and on the sides all in different languages and the only bit that tells me anything in English is the directions for use. This in itself is brilliant of Avon cos normally they don't give any information and you have to wing it! The bottle is 30ml clear glass. Again on the front tells me what it is and who it is by and like the box has a few orange squiggles on it and has an orange pump action dispenser with a clear plastic safety lid. I really like the packaging of this! To Use.... Smooth a small amount through damp or dry hair using hands. Do not rinse. Style as usual. What It's meant To Achieve.... Tames & smoothes frizz. Contains creatine known to increase the strength of hair. Opinion.... A little marvel! It's amazing. After using John Frieda Serum which I was less than impressed with as I felt it weighed my hair down and gunked it up I was apprehensive about using this as it's the same idea. However overall, in my opinion this is far superior to that product. It pumps a little out at a time and on my shoulder length hair I only need 2 pumps, which believe me is hardly any at all. It's clear and not sticky, though a little greasy which aids its application so as I say you only need a little amount. It smells lovely. Kind of fruity, flowery and light. After it's distributed I roughly blow dry my hair to continue with using my straighteners so I'm not trying to style I'm only trying to eliminate the frizz as this is a problem to me. This really does eliminate frizz I can see that even after just blow drying. It doesn't weigh hair down at all. It doesn't feel greasy but it does feel really very healthy and soft but not at all flyaway. My hair after using this feels like silk! Straightening with this product in my hair is so much easier and the finish is really great. There is no frizz at all and the ends of my hair in particular feel really soft around my shoulders instead of dry split ends! I wouldn't say it adds or takes away any shine. For me this is only to eradicate my frizz and then I can carry on with whichever products I choose such as my shine spray. I find though I don't need anything other than a touch of shine spray so my hair doesn't get full of products. The smell of this disappears quick which is fine with me and it keeps frizz under control in all conditions. For me this is just amazing and it will stay as something I will purchase when I run out, though cos of the tiny amount you need it'll last months! Perfect for men and women worried about frizz and great for people who have dry hair. I'm definitely going to buy my friends and Mum some cos its just so good I want everyone to try it! Well done Avon, you've played a blinder with this and the price is just brilliant too! Usually £4.00 per bottle in Avon but at the time of submitting this review it's on offer for £2.00 so grab a bargain people!
