Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Too many to list

Here is another product to avoid at all costs. As an Avon representative, I am not a fan of telling consumers to avoid Avon products, but my integrity always gets the better of me. So I feel I have to write reviews like this to warn people not to throw their money away on products that do not live up to the usual Avon standards.

This is an Advance Techniques hair care product, which is my least favourite Avon brand. It retails for £2.65 for a 250ml bottle of the shampoo and there is also a conditioner available for the same price that is also from the Intense Repair Hydrating catagory.

Using the product for the first time, I already knew it was not going to be a good experience just by opening up the bottle. The shampoo has that familiar cheap swimming pool shower room smell that so many of the Advance Techniques products that I have tried have.

The shampoo was a little on the thick side and came out onto my hand in a sludgy little pile. It smelled awful, it didn't feel very nice, and it made me feel greasy just holding it. I worked it through my hair into a lather, and found that it was easy to rinse out a minute later. The only problem with rinsing it out is that it dried my hair out so much that I had trouble running my fingers through it. My hair was instantly dry, coarse and difficult to manage after using this product - even while it was still wet.

After washing my hair with this, I was not willing to risk using the Intense Hydrating Conditioner so I got hold of my trusty Tresemme bottle instead. I would not use this product again and I disliked it so much that I did not pass on the unfinished product, I simply binned it.

Summary: I think this is one to avoid.
