“ Brand: Avon / Spray / Type: Hair Spray / Product line: Avon Advance Techniques „
===Why I Bought This===
As we all get older our hair tends to lack a little something. Having always had thin and fine hair anyway it always needs some setting lotion and hair spray when I go out somewhere special to keep it all in place and make it look as if it has some body. I therefore thought that as I was trying other Avon Techniques hair products that I would try this pump action hair spray as well.

This is the first hair spray I have bought from Avon so have not had their earlier versions, however the comments left on their website show that customers were dissatisfied that this product had been changed from an aerosol in a spray can to this pump action version - so perhaps that is why it has been phased out.
As I only use spray when I go out somewhere reasonably special I want it to work well. Normally I use a can of hair spray but as I was giving all the Avon hair products a try I got this hair spray as well.
I can see why people were not too pleased with the pump action, as, although it does spray out reasonably well it is definitely not a patch oo the way the spray comes out of an aerosol can.
I used setting lotion as normal and then just did a quick squirt on the one side as normal to keep my side flick of hair in place. Although it was not powerful when you pumped it out it did hold my hair quite well and did have a pleasant smell, which is a change as often hair sprays do tend to stink a bit.
I will use this again but I do feel for that 'speical' time it is beter t have an aersal can of hair spray which gives a more powerful adn finer blast of spray.
I do not really buy aerosols normally but I think with hair spray it does do a better job.
However this hair spray does work and the medium hold is enough for me.
Now it seems it is discontinued but Avon still sell two other pump action hair spays.
As only a little is used at a time these bottles will last absolutely ages.
3 stars - it does work and smells nice but not as powererful as a spray can.
