I used to use John Freida's Sun Streaks heat -accelerated highlighter but, as many of you will know, this was discontinued a number of years ago and has continued to fetch premium prices on e-bay ever since.

Since that product was discontinued I've been on the look out for a good replacement. This is it. It would appear from the review above that there is a specific technique for optimum results...

The product can be applied to both damp or dry hair so I apply it to dry hair, normally before I go to bed and blast it with a hair dryer to activate. The product does come with an applicator but, as I want fairly specific bits of hair highlighted, I tend to apply it with my fingers, almost like a gel. Ensure that you wash your hands though afterwards as it does contain hydrogen peroxide. This night time application gives the product optimum time to work (overnight) and makes the "greasy" side effect irrelevant as you wash the product out in the morning. I agree that this should be used 3+ times for optimum effect.

Summary: A great product which they hopefully won't discontinue!
