This dual function hairbrush is one of my favourite handbag items from Avon. It was only released earlier this year and I bought it while it was available to representatives as a demonstration item. It has rarely been out of my handbag since and I even use it as my main hairbrush when I go on holiday now because of it's convenient small size.

This brush is probably only marginally smaller than a standard brush, about 2/3rds of the size of the cushion brush and half the size of a standard paddle brush (which is the shape of this brush). The handle is considerably shorter to keep this a compact product but it is just long enough to hold and use comfortably.

The mirror panel on the back is removable and a good size too. So when you want to brush your hair on the move, you can simply slide out the mirror and hold it while you use the brush on your hair. It is very handy for having in your bag for when you want to take a quick peak at your lipstick too.

My only criticism of this is that the mirror can only be slid down so it is facing outwards on the brush. I keep it in my make-up bag inside my handbag so it does not get dirty but others may find this a problem having an exposed mirror open in their handbag. It would be much more sensible to have this so that the mirror can be faced inwards and "put away".

This is priced at £5 on the Avon Shop website which I think it is well worth. It is a good quality item that is extremely useful to have. I love the smooth wooden handle with the gorgeous little design on this too. It is every bit as nice in the flesh as it looks in the picture.

Summary: Ideal for Christmas stockings everywhere.
