Advantages: Price, fragrance, results!!

Disadvantages: The bottle and packaging, although practical, is a little dull!

**Product Price and Availability**
Avon Naturals Almond Oil & Avocado Moisturising Shampoo is only available directly from Avon, either through your Representative or from www.avonshop.com. That said, I have seen stacks of Avon products selling on internet auction sites!!

The regular price is £2.00 for a 250ml bottle. I paid 99p for mine, as the product was in the sale.

**The Packaging**
The shampoo is packaged in a cream coloured plastic bottle with an easy to use flip top lid. The label on the front is of an olive green colour, with product description and a picture of almonds and avocados.

The back of the packaging has the usual Avon peel away label with directions of use and product description in many languages and the list of ingredients.

The Green Dot Symbol is shown, indicating that Avon are compliant with the Germany Packaging Ordinance. The bottle is also recyclable showing HDPE 2 symbol. Finally, a shelf life of 12 months after opening is indicated.

**Using the Product**
After wetting my hair in the shower I easily with one hand flip the top of the bottle open and pour a 50 pence size blob of shampoo into my hand. The shampoo is of a creamy peach colour and is pearlescent. It smells wonderfully of almonds but not particularly of avocado. It is certainly a unisex fragrance.

Starting at the top of my head I work the shampoo in to my scalp and to the ends of my hair creating a rich foamy lather. After doing this for a few minutes I rinse out thoroughly.

I then apply the co-ordinating conditioner.

Once I have dried and styled my hair there is a light fragrance on my hair of the product

My hair feels clean and is easily manageable.

The shampoo is recommended for dry/damaged hair, and while my hair is not dry, it is coloured so I class this as damaged. This shampoo adds moisture to my hair.

**My Verdict**
I am pleased with this product. For the 99p I paid this is a great value product. After use with the conditioner from the range my hair is left feeling soft, squeaky clean and tangle free. It is easy to manage and style. The product smells nice and leaves my hair smelling pleasant. The bottle is easy to handle and the flip top lid is practical, there is nothing more irritating than trying the blindly open a product in the shower with wet hands and dropping the damned thing!

I would happily recommend this product and would buy it again without hesitation. I think it would be great for those with really dry hair as it has added no end of moisture to mine.
