Advantages: Leaves hair feeling clean
Disadvantages: Volume of hair does not increase
One of my Christmas presents from my parents was a lovely red box tied with a ribbon and filled with a whole manner of strawberry scented toiletries. One of the products in this box was a bottle of Yesterday Strawberry & Guava 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner from the Avon Naturals range.
The shampoo comes in a relatively tall and thin see-through plastic bottle upon which you will find the information that it is "formulated with pure strawberry and guava extracts" and that it "nourishes, smoothes and protects".
Due to the fact that the bottle is see-through you can see the lovely pale red colour of the shampoo and when you lift the snap-top lid a sweet summery and strawberry scent wafts out. This scent isn't too sweet though as to put you off wanting to wash your hair with the shampoo, of which 200ml are contained within the bottle. I found this enough the wash my hair, which is medium to long in length, twelve times, leaving it wonderful clean each wash.
The shampoo itself seems suitable for any type of hair as it seems to wash my hair, which can get rather greasy, extremely well and also gives my mum's hair, which can become rather dry, a good wash too. Obviously the amount of shampoo that you will need to use will completely depend on the length of your hair I have personally found that the amount I use doesn't give a very good lather. Saying this however the meek size of the lather doesn't seem to have any effect on the brilliant cleaning power of this shampoo.
When rubbing the shampoo into my hair I have noticed that it seems to glide through very well and doesn't seem to clump together like other shampoo's I have used in the past. Better still the shampoo rinses out exceptionally well and therefore no shampoo residue is left to irritate the scalp. This is probably because the shampoo doesn't cause a tremendous lather and if this is the case then I am eternally grateful, as there is nothing worse than feeling itchy after washing your hair.
After rinsing my hair and letting it dry naturally I also noticed that my hair looked much shinier than normal. Maybe this was due to the conditioner part of the product, as I don't normally use this but either way my hair definitely had a shimmer to it that it normally lacks. Volume wise this shampoo didn't seem to have an effect on either my mum's hair or mine but seeing as we both have rather full-bodied hair already then this wasn't a concern of ours by any stretch of the imagination.
All in all I was really impressed by this 2-in-1 product. The fact that it is a 2-in-1 product makes the whole process of washing your hair much quicker and the shininess that occurs once hair is dry is definitely a bonus.
This shampoo and conditioner can be purchased for around £2 from most Avon books as is often found on special offer along with other products or sometimes on it's own simply at a lower price. You can also purchase this online at "avonshop.co.uk" but please be aware that all orders will incur a delivery charge if purchased this way.
Summary: A lovely shampoo with a delicate scent and brilliant cleaning power
