My nose loved it but my hair hated it! (Avon-Naturals Strawberry & Guava 2 in 1 Shampoo)

I bought this Strawberry and Guava 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner because it was on special offer in the Avon catalogue, and for 99p I couldn't resist it. Normally it costs £2.50.

The Shampoo and Conditioner is part of the Avon Naturals range. This has several varieties of flavour, all featuring different fruits, spices or herbs. Other flavours include Black Cherry and Nutmeg, Apricot and Sunflower or Apple and Honeysuckle, among others.

Within each flavour you have a choice of products, for example within the Strawberry and Guava variety, you not only have the shampoo and conditioner, you also have a shower gel, a room and linen spray, a body lotion and a face mask. This is nice if you like to have a bathroom full of matching products or if you like to layer up fragrance on your skin and hair.

I was pleased when I received the Shampoo and Conditioner as it comes in a lovely little bottle. It is tall and thin and holds 200 ml. It is clear allowing you to see the lovely deep red, pearlescent liquid inside. It also has a yummy looking picture of strawberries on the front. As well as looking good the shampoo also smells good, you can really pick out the strawberries and guava fruits and it smells good enough to eat.

However once I used the shampoo I was disappointed. It is quite hard to wash your hair with it as it seems to get stuck and make your hair all tangled up. It's difficult to smooth it through your hair.

After washing my hair was unusually dry and incredibly tangled up. I don't normally have a problem with knots but after using this it takes me ages to comb my hair and I end up breaking lots of hairs.

Also I was disappointed that after washing I couldn't smell the strawberry or guava scent in my hair at all. The product was a big let down for me and I wouldn't recommend buying it. It might work for someone with poker straight hair that doesn't tangle ever, but otherwise I would avoid it.

Summary: Not for me
