I just tend to use a normal Conditioner through my Hair. I've never been 1 for lying in the bath letting a product soak into my hair, so just something I can put on my Hair and rinse off is ok for me. I did buy this about 6 months ago and use it every now and again. Since I have highlighted Hair and I straighten it a few times a week then I am concious that it can get dried out, so a little Deep conditioning now and again should surely help it.
In the current Avon book I can't see this product, but I know it is still for sale. I got this when it was on offer and think I paid about £3 for it. It is part of the Planet Spa collection which has different Haircare and body products. The range is a good one in my eyes.
The tube looks like the Dooyoo picture. It looks ok but nothing all that special. If you wanted to you could cut the tube open and scoop the Cream out when this was nearly finished and get your money's worth from it.
It doesn't state that you have to leave this on for a certain amount of time. It says that you apply this and leave it on for up to 10 minutes before rinsing off. What I tend to do is Shampoo my Hair when I first go in the shower, Rinse it off and then apply this. Then I get to work washing my face and my body. I would usually Shampoo, wash face, rinse shampoo, apply conditioner, wash body then rinse Hair. But the way that I do it when I apply this means that it has a little time to soak into my Hair.
The Cream is quite thick and I use a good sized blob in my Hair. This works through my hair no problem and seems to feel quite rich. There is a nice enough scent in here. Hard to say what the scent is but just a nice Creamy scent and perhaps a bit Fruity scent which I would assume is the Goji berries.
After this is rinsed out of my Hair it feels Soft, smooth and strong. After my Hair is dried then it looks smooth and has a nice Shine to it.
I don't feel that I have overly dry hair anyway and use this probably once a month. My hair does feel good after using this and I would say that this tube would last a good lenght of time. I think you would get up to 10 applications out of this 150ml tube.
A good Hair treat that I would recommend for a bit pampering.
I bought Avon's Planet Spa Himalayan Goji Berry Conditioning Hair Repair Mask because I suffer from very dry, brittle hair, and I bought it on special at the time (£2.50).
The conditioner comes in a vivid maroon coloured tube, with a clear white plastic cap. On the front is the planet spa logo, and the title of the product, plus the volume (amount) which is 150ml. On the back, in very hard to read dark writing, are the directions for use in multiple languages and shelf life (12 months from opening). The ingredients and warnings are on the box that it comes in, which I have lost - great design and thought from Avon there!
Directions for Use
To Use: After shampooing, apply mask evenly over hair. Leave for up to 10 minutes and rinse.
The cream itself is easy to squeeze out, and the slightly matte tube is easy to grip in the bath or shower. The cream smells sweet but very sharp, which is nice and refreshing. The cream conditioner is white in colour and fairly thick, and so it is more like smoothed through your hair than run through. I have found that leaving it for the whole ten minutes makes little difference, as it has done its job in about five minutes, and then I rinse with cool-ish water. I've found that the conditioner leaves my hair silkier and softer, a little shinier but...and this is the bit that annoys me, these effects don't last any longer than if I use normal conditioner. I would say they last about two to three days, which is the same result I've had from Avon's two-in-one shampoo/conditioners. Of course this could be because I have such dry hair. Also, the scent is quite light once the mask has been washed away, and can easily be overpowered by a medium-strength scent of shampoo. I've also found I need to use a fair dollop of the stuff to actually cover all of my hair, so its not the best value for money, as I get through it very quickly.
Overall I would say this is no better than a normal conditioner, and I certainly wouldn't expect to pay around £5.00 for such a small tube, however the scent is nice and its okay value for money if its on special. It does make you feel a bit pampered because its something that's not part of, at least my, daily routine. For that I would rate this three stars.
I treated myself to a few items from the new Planet Spa Goji Berry range when they were on special offer, if you brought 3 products you could claim a free make up bag. I'm a sucker for offers like that and even though the make up bag was rubbish I'm mega impressed with this hair mask.
It comes in a chunky tube like you can see above and I love the colour of this whole range because it's a gorgeous berry/rose colour that looks proper girly and attractive.
The smell of the hair mask is definately of berries, I don't know what a goji berry actually smells like but this has deffo got a gorgeous fruity berry smell.
You smooth the hair mask over your hair and leave on for up to 10 mins before rinsing off. Don't be tempted to leave it overnight though because doing this will make you hair greasy the next day even if you rinse it all off properly, not greasy exactly but limp and lank.
I love the smell as the mask is on my hair and I was glad when I first used it that the smell stayed on my hair for quite a long time after I'd rinsed it off.
The mask deffo moisturised my hair and acted like a good intensive conditioner. After rinsing and towel drying I was amazed at how many of the tangles had been smoothed out of my hair, I have a mad problem with my hair and that is as soon as it gets damp it becomes one massive tangle and is a nightmare to brush.
After I've used this Goji Berry mask I was able to pull the brush through my hair without finding many tangles and my hair also felt very soft and smooth. I don't suffer from dry hair but my mum does and she also thinks this hair mask is brill, she uses it every couple of days because she thinks it's more effective than the Boots hair mask she was using before.
You don't have to use much for each application and that's a good job because this 150ml bottle costs £4.50! At the minute it's on special offer at £1.99 so if you fancy trying it then get your order in now to take advantage of the cheaper price.
I reckon it's well worth the money though because it makes my hair look and feel in better condition and also gives it a lovely shine that my hair doesn't usually have.
