I've spent a fortune over the years on various hair brushes for my thick and naturally curly hair only to find that the tiny beads on the end of the bristles would fall off after only a few months. Consequently, I was delighted to discover Avon's Advanced Techniques range, which offer a good selection of affordable yet high quality brushes. As I've had a positive experience with both the paddle and cushioned brushes I decided to make a purchase of their Round Pop Up Brush and this review discusses my thoughts. The brushes contained within the Advanced Techniques range are very appealing to the eye with their vibrant cerise colour, so are clearly marketed ... Read the complete review

This brush came out in Avon a good few months ago. I had bought a little brush from Avon ages ago and it had broke where the brush and mirror joined so I thought I would "treat" myself to this when I spotted it. I can't say I am overly vain but to have a little brush to carry around in my work bag isn't that big a deal, but since I wear my hair down quite a bit and it is a medium lenght and thick then I notice it gets a bit tuggy. The brushes in Avon used to be a red colour but then they changed them to pink. Not really sure why they changed the colouring but the brushes are just the same. Can't think exactly how much I paid for this but I ... Read the complete review

Recently my daughter has really started getting into swimming at our local leisure centre (although she pretty much cried for the first 2 days of lessons!) so in between I have been taking her on my days off to have a bit of a splash about. This means I too must get in the water and some of these bigger kids really like to splash getting my hair all wet! I now have set up a swim bag which consists of our costumes, goggles, swim hat, towel, cream and this efficient little pop up brush! If I am totally honest I don't remember exactly when I bought this brush as I buy so many things from Avon then forget about them! I found it in the back of the bathroom ... Read the complete review

As my youngest daughter Emily has taken ages to grow some hair we had never bought her a brush other than the super soft baby brushes you get however now at two and a half she finally has enough hair for a very small ponytail and so since her sister goes away in the caravan a lot and takes a hairbrush I decided to buy this for my eldest daughter to take away with her hence leaving the normal brush at home. The brush is from Avon and costs £3.25 however I bought it on offer and got it for £1.75, I probably wouldn't have chosen to buy this but my Avon representative had it left over as someone was sending back their order and it just meant I could get a brush ... I have so many friends and family all doing Avon that I feel obliged to buy a little something all the time. It has got to the point where I am running out of things that I actually want and just buying whatever I can see that is cheap. I bought a pop up brush last year for myself as it was one of the cheapest things in the catalogue. I actually bought a few of them as I thought they would make nice little stocking fillers for my daughter and nieces. Mine is different from the one in the dooyoo photo as it is round in shape. It is also pink rather than red. The brush closes in a clam shell shape and when it is opened it has the brush in one side ... Read the complete review
