I often like to try new products however when it comes to my hair I have to be a little bit careful. I have naturally curly hair and I tend to straighten it most of them, however the slightest little bit of something wet normally tends to make my hair start to kink and gradually go curly again, thats why I surprised myself when I found myself adding the Avon Tahitian Sun Ready Hair Mist onto my AVon order form last campaign.
I think what initially attracted me to this product was the fragrance, not what it actually looked like or what it is supposed to do, however the fragrance is Cocunut and with summer coming I love better than to smell those various fragrances that you associate with holidays and coconut has got to be top of the list.
The spray comes in a plastic light blue bottle, with a nozzle and cap on the top for ease of spraying onto your hair. As with all Avon products, it has minimal amount of information on the front, just the product name and what it supposed to be and a pointless picture which to me is not associated at all with the contents of the bottle, and on the reverse as usual they have a one liner for around 25 different countries in as many languages as they can fit on providing you with the directions of use in as little words as possible.
As with any products that I buy I want to try them as soon as possible and when I had washed and dried my hair I decided to spray a little bit onto my hair. The scent of the product is fantastic, I wanted coconut and I got coconut, nothing reminded me of going on holiday more and the scent lingered and lingered all evening with my partner comenting on how nice my hair smelt. So even if the poduct wasn't any good, it was good in the fact that the fragrance was extremely noticeable and very pleasant.
I also noticed that this did not have any impact on my natural curls at all, I expected my hair to start to go frizzy in the places where the spray had landed as I didn't go too over the top first time I applied and if anything I founf that it tamed my hair really well, and even after going to bed and waking in the morning, my hair was just as straight as when I had done it the night before, which doesn't normally happen at all.
The product also added to the sheen in my hair and it left my hair feeling really soft and looking shiny, which is exactly what you want in this weather, something that you know is going to protect your hair, however we haven't had a great deal of sun, just to see whether it does the trick under intense heat all the time.
I am looking forward to taking this product on holiday with me, where I will be away for 2 weeks in a very hot climate and to see whether it does live up to the expectations that I already have or whether I come back to the UK with dry and damaged hair.
Only £1.75 at the moment in the Avon catalogue and i am really happy with the product itself, packaging looks a little tacky really for Avon and something that you would expect in a £1 shop but I would recommend for people to give this product a whirl.
