Advantages: Lightweigh, shiny and volumised hair
Disadvantages: DO NOT OVERUSE
Why I chose this product:
I love most products in the avon catalougue and when my friend decided to become an Avon lady, i was even more hooked. I had been told about about the Advance Techniques Collection of haircare products, in particular, the volume and texure range. I'm always looking for a way to boost my limp locks, so I decided to try the range itself, purchasing the Shampoo, conditioner and the subject of this review; the Ultra Thick Volumiser.
Who will like this product:
If like me you want to boost your locks witha product that can be applied to damp hair before styling. This product is an excellent alternative to the classic mousse and if used correctly, leaves your hair feeling lihter and looking shiny.
Where to find this product:
In the avon Catalogue, under the hair care range. This product is part of the Advance Techniques collection and it part of the Volume and Texture range. This range is recognisable by their purple tops.
Cost:
Around £4.89 for 150ml of product. it isn't th cheapest out there but the results are worth the price. I would also ask your Avon representitive to advise you of upcomming offers or product sales wherein which you may be able to pick up this product at a chepaer price.
Packaging:
As mentioned, the voulume and texture range is recognisable by the purple tops on the products, this is true of the entire Advance techinques range, for example, the Shine Boost collection has green tops. This product comes n a white plastic bottle which is slim fitting, and has a pump action top in which allows you to access the product.
Product Description:
This product comes in the form of a whiteish/ clear serum that should be used sparingly. Product colour does not transfer to your hair.
How to use:
This product should be used on damp or towel dried hair. Using the pump acquire a small amount in your palm (one or two pumpfuls only) and i would advise to rub into both hands and fingertips, proceed to rub this into hair from roots to tips. Then you are free to style you hair as desired. To achieve maximum effect use a metal barrel brush whilst blowdrying paying particular attention to your roots, lifting as you blowdry. You must use this product sparingly, the amout used used depend on the thickness and length of your hair, but i would advise you not to use too much at a ny one time as unlike a mousse this prduct is in serum form and overuse will leave hair more limp than usual and may even make your hair look greasy. i think this is the key tip to follow with most haircare products as usually only a small amount is ever needed to achieve fantastic results. The overuse of any product is never very good for your hair.
Product Performance:
This product has transformed my haircare routine. I used to be a slave to mousse, always trying to boost and volumise my hair. After discovering thiis i dont think id go back. This product worked easily and as you only need a small amout at any one tim will last for ages, allowing you to get your moneys worth. My hair was volumised after styling and looked really shiny and healthy. aslo my hair felt lightweight and was easily to run my hands through- an affect often not achieved with mousse products.
Recommendation:
I woul highly recommend this product and in fact the entire product range. If you want added effect to your hair then I would advise you do use the other products in the volume and texture range, such as the shapoo and conditioner.
Hope this review was helpful to you xxx
Summary: a definate addition to my permanent haircare routine
