I purchased these straighteners from Argos when I noticed them on offer. They were half price (£29.99 down from £59.99) After reading nothing but good reviews for them, I decided to give them a try and wow, all those reviews were right! These straightners are as good as my GHD's but for a fraction of the price!

What you get.

The straighteners come in a smart black and gold box. You will recieve the straighteners, instructions, heat mat and a bag of hair clips. The mat I have found to be extremely useful for keeping the straighteners on while I wait for them to cool down, and to wrap them up in, to prevent any damage when they are not being used.

The straighteners can reach temperatures of up to 230 degrees which is easily adjustable with a dial on the side. Simple on and off switch on the handle. They have been more then generous with the cord, pleanty of length so you're not limited to where you can use them. Oh and they come with a 5 year guarentee!

My Experience.

They heat up SUPER fast. Just takes a few seconds and they are ready to go. The ceramic plates allowed them to slide through my hair with no problems. I have very thick wavy hair and after running them through a section of my hair two or three times it was poker straight - amazing.

The only problem I found was because of where the on/off buttons are positioned on the handle, I would sometimes accidently turn them off. Although once I had realized it was easily avoided.

If you have always wanted a pair of GHD's but cannot afford them or just can't justify spending that amount of money on straighteners - BUY THESE! You will not be dissapointed. I almost wish I had found these first. They will simply glide through any hair type, results are almost instant.
