These straighteners are so good that when I wore one pair out, I bought another identical pair as I could not find any I liked as much. When my second pair wore out just before Christmas (after over a year of regular use), I decided it was time for a change but I did seriously think about buying yet another pair. I got mine from Boots and they cost £59.99, although I know they were in the Boots electrical half price sale in December and January for just £29.99.

They come with a heatproof mat which is ideal as they heat up to 230 degrees and 4 section clips for styling. Personally I prefer an old fashioned big crocodile clip but they are useful to have nevertheless.

They are very easy to use and heat up in 30 second to SCORCHING hot. They also give a very sleek finish even on my very thick hair. They have touramaline plates and different heat settings dependent on hair thickness. The only niggle I have with them is the dial for changing the setting is on the inside of one of the plates and is quite unclear and a bit fiddly if you want to change it.

The red LED light lets you know easily when they are switched on and reduces the chances of you leaving them on unattended by accident (although I have stupidly done this a couple of times!). They also have a very long salon-length flex giving you huge flexibility about where you style your hair.

The main drawback I have found is that they do not seem to get as hot as when you first bought them after a few months of use.

Summary: Very reasonably priced, high performance straighteners that give a lasting sleek look
