I had been considering buying these straighteners for a while, but had always been put off by their usual RRP of around £99.99. **Before reading on; this is a bit of a lengthy review, as I have written about the things I would've like to have known before buying these. Feel free to skip to parts of interest!** There had been a lot of hype around these, and claims that they were better than GHD's etc. On top of the positive reviews; one of the girls I work with had bought a pair of these, and she absolutely swore by them. She has really wavy, quite thick hair, and I have to admit that I was impressed by the result the first time I saw it ... Read the complete review

2 weeks before Christmas my straightners (GHD's) finally died. They had been in a bad way for a few months but in the run up to Christmas there was no way I could afford to replace them. So I had to walk around with my curly hair sticking out everywhere, which I was really embarassed about but there was nothing that I could do. Its amazing how you come to rely on thing like your straightners, hairdryers, lady shaves etc, it was almost like I was grieving for someone. I have to say that I am lucky enough to have a caring husband who understood and kindly presented me with a set of brand new straighteners before my christmas night out. When I opened ... Since I was a child I have had natural wavy hair that frizzes and curls randomly leaving me looking a little like a poodle! As a result of this natural curse a very good pair of straighteners is essential to me. I have always been a huge fan of GHD'S because they deliver such fantastic straightening quality. They are expensive but it's worth it for how good they are. A couple of months ago the GHD's that have been performing miracles for years suddenly broke. You can imagine the tradgedy this was. I went shopping for a new pair the very same day that I got paid and originally planned to get some GHD's again. On the way to the ... Read the complete review

I have had all sorts of straightners in the past some which were ok, some which the ceramic stuff came off and some which were vauguely useless. I spotted these on TV and they promised to keep my hair straight for twice as long as other brands. Not only that but they were a deep shiny red enamel colour. I looked them up online faster than you can say "crimpy hairdo" and found them on Amazon reduced from £100 to £40. After a few days pacing around with frankly wavy hair, they arrived and I was delighted to spot the new features. They heat all the way up to 230 degrees c in 30 seconds (which must be what the 230 in the ... Read the complete review

Before I start I should mention that I am/was a loyal GHD customer as such was very reluctant to try something different(major downpour while out shopping and had to borrow my freinds before a night out!) but was pleasantly surprised with this straightener. They seem a little bulky in comparison to my usual straightners athough they are quite easy to get used too. I have quite fine hair but there is a lot of it, its layered and have a natural kink (frizz) that I previously though only GHD's could manage but these left my hair totally poker straight. Took almost no time at all, in fact I could have sworn it was GHD's that I was using. My hair was left lovely ... Read the complete review
