Advantages: Price, Value for money, Ease of use

Disadvantages: Scratch easily, Not good for 'difficult' hair types

I have these too. They are good ... but not as good as my sister's GHDs. That said, she has curly hair and mine is only wavy so these are enough for me.

The price is good, they are easy to use and they have a good 'cool touch' bit on the outside to help with styling and creating flicks etc.

However, if you have 'difficult' or very curly hair you might be better off with solid ceramic straighteners to get the best effect. Babyliss have just brought some out for £50 - see Argos.
Also, beware of using metal sectioning clips when doing the layers of your hair because the plates scratch quite easily.
