Advantages: straight, shiny, and absolutely gorgeous

Disadvantages: erm... none.

Is this little piece of equipment the greatest creation ever?

Is this man's greatest discovery?

Does this marvellous machine boldly go where no machine has gone before?

The answer to these questions is quite simply- no. But one thing that this quite scary little machine can do is what it was built for- it straightens hair! "Wow, so what?" I hear you say. So, where shall I start...

It was just the other day that I didn't even realise there was such a machine as this. It was only when I saw my cousin plugging one of these into the wall that I thought, hmmm what have we here? She told me that her hair wasn't really straight (isn't it??!) and that it was all down to this.

I decided to try it for myself. Some might say I already have straight hair so what could it possibly do for me? But after running this thing easily through my hair, I was surprised at how soft it felt and how long and shiny it looked- it was gorgeous (if I do say so myself) and like the sort of hair I have always craved- that long sleek sexy look that only film stars seem to be able to achieve. I had always put that down to the fact that anything was possible if you had loads of dosh, now I know it's just down to a simple regular everyday hair straightener!

I went straight to the nearest town and bought one for myself. It cost me £25, which I would've been more than happy to part with had it been my last.

Immediately after getting home, I washed my hair and let it dry naturally (something I wouldn't dream of doing normally, much to the dismay of my hair particles!). My hair looked unruly after it had dried as I had really gone to lenghs to ensure this by lying on the sofa and going to sleep! I'm sure any girl out there who has hair will know that if you go to sleep on wet hair, you will wake up looking like something out of a horror movie!

Now for the test. Would this tiny liece of equip
ment transform me from goblin to goddess? I started to find out...

...The straightener was so easy to use! One relatively quick run through each strand of hair and it was completely straight and shiny with the help of the built in steam system. Just five minutes (yes, five) I had worked it throught the whole of my hair and I looked like I'd just stepped out of a salon! Top results! Needless to say, I went out that night woth confidence coming out of my earholes! And everyone seemed to notice that something was different, I received many a compliment and felt like a star!

This all may seem like a load of over-hyped nonsense- does something so simple as a hair straightener really make so much difference? But the fact is that it does! I am really generally excited about my purchas of this item as it completely transforms hair, even if it is already relatively straight.

You can also use it in the mornings when you can't be bothered to have a shower just for flattening down those stray bits at the front, or after a day of wearing your hair tied up, this thing will work wonders on kinks!

Oh, by the way, you can get this in any good multistore such as Argos, Superdrug, Boots, supermarkets etc. etc. in case you wondered.

For every day use or for a top night out, this is a god-send to me and- although this time last week I didn't even know there was such a thing- I have come to rely upon my Babyliss Steam and shine hair straightener like I rely on my own two feet!

Great op, I usually don't have time to straighten my hair though.

I got one for Christmas and totally fell in love, the problem is it works best on naturally dried hair, as you say, so in the mornings I don't have time to let my hair dry THEN straighten it.

Instead I mess around with the hairdryer and straightener at the same time, usually with disastrous results! Plus as Majorb says it does dry your hair out so I have to be careful. Definitely worth it for nights out and special occasions though!
