Batiste Cherry Dry Shampoo
Advantages: It really works! Makes hair look and feel better immediately
Disadvantages: Make sure you brush it all out before leaving the house
This dry shampoo is simple to use. The can needs to be given a really good shake before use. Then you simply spray it onto the roots of your hair from 30 cm away. After massaging your roots with your fingertips, you just brush it out and spend a few moments being thankful you have been saved from a bad hair day!
The description on the back of the can reads "Batiste Dry Shampoo Fruity & Cheeky Cherry banishes oily roots, giving dull, lifeless hair the makeover it needs without any water. A quick burst revitalises hair, adds body and texture and leaves it feeling clean and fresh too." I am pleased to say that I find this to be an accurate description. Greasy or oily roots are immediately improved and hair looks and feels much better after using this product. It is really quick and simple to use and makes your hair smell really nice, just as promised. The Cherry smell is fresh and pleasant but not too sweet or overwhelming.
I find this to be a useful product on those days when you don't have enough time to wash you hair or if you washed it in the morning and it is looking a bit worse for wear in the evening and needs a bit of revitalising before heading out for the evening. I also sometimes use this just for the fragrance if I have been outside walking and various smells from bonfires / smoke / traffic have clung to my hair and I want to freshen it up when I get in.
The spray does come out as a fine white powder so you obviously have to take care with your spraying to avoid getting it on your clothes or in your eyes but I have not found this to be an issue. It is also a good idea to check in the mirror when you have finished to make sure you haven't accidentally left any in. However, sometimes if I just give a light spray or massage it well, I don't even have to bother brushing it out as you can't see anything which is handy.
I bought a 200ml can of this cherry dry shampoo in Boots which costs £2.99. Some types are also available in larger cans. I use mine every now and again, perhaps once every week or two weeks or so and it is lasting me wells so it is good value for money. I consider this to be a good buy and I will buy this product again in the future. It will definitely come in handy next time I go camping too! 5 stars.
Summary: A nice smelling dry shampoo that takes seconds and gets rid of greasy roots
