Smell good!It stays on all day, adds a little bit of volume and body.Overall i would say that it's a great product.Only downsides are that it's a little sticky and hard to rub or brush in.
I used this when I had my hair in box braids a few months ago and I was really pleased with the results that I got from it.
Naturally I have really curly hair naturally, so I don't tend to use dry shampoo (it makes all the curls look dusty and gross) but when I have my hair straight or weaved in some way, I always have to run for a dry shampoo. This happened to be on sale when I bought it but I didn't buy it because of that! I'd heard good things about Batiste from my friends and I thought is was about time to try it.
The bottle was similar to a hairspray can with the same spray radius of a hairspray, which is really helpful when you need to spray bits of your head quickly. The actual formula smells really nice and comes out of the can as a sort of thin foam that dries onto your hair, which can still leave the hair looking a bit dusty but luckily with this particular one, it's nothing a few shakes of the hair and some ruffling can't fix!
It absorbs a lot of the nasty smell that can come from greasy/dirty hair, which was a bonus for me, as my hair and synthetic hair absorbs a lot of outside smells and doesn't let them go for anything! I feel like the formula can make your scalp quite dry and itchy so this should be used in combination with an oil or moisturising element to make sure that you don't lose all your natural oils from your head while still letting you clean your hair.
Overall, I really liked this product and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good dry shampoo.
I bought this product one month ago and thought it would be a good refresher for my hair between washes. However, no matter how far I hold the can from my hair, it leaves white patches, which are difficult to remove. As well as this, the spray runs out quickly, which isn't a very good value for money, in my opinion. For hair such as mine (Black British/Caribbean hair), the shampoo has a less than useful effect on my hair and I would not recommend anyone of colour to use this product, however, that is not to say that other people would have the same trouble as myself.
I'll be honest, I only really found out what dry shampoo was recently, but no doubt it's been like a life saver ever since then. I've tried out a few different brands due to the fact I have a predisposition to reacting to most beauty products I try, but over the last few months I've had no problem with this one. Although it might be a little risky to say this is fine for all skin types, my sensitive skin has thus far remained problem free, though if you have an inkling that it could be a problem for you definitely try it out first.
The selection of scents is really quite vast, so there's bound to be at least one in the selection to your liking even if this one isn't. At the moment the cherry is my preferred one. It's not too overpowering, and actually is pretty pleasant, which I suppose if a relief if it's going to be hanging around your head all day.
Perhaps the only really issue I have is that I don't think you get an awful lot out of it. I don't tend to use it all that often, but it does seem to feel lighter a bit quicker than perhaps is ideal, though it's also just about cheap enough that buying maybe one new tin a month isn't too much of a big problem.
I certainly find the product to be worth it, and it's the go to brand for a lot of my friends, too. Hopefully you'll find it just as good!
I use dry shampoos a lot and the batiste range is one I use all the time. Their range seems to have grown massively lately though and there are just so many to choose from. I have only recently started to use the fruity and cheeky cherry tins. They cost the same as the others - £1.59 from Home Bargains and they look just like a tin or hairspray.
I love the design of this one though and it looks quite nice sitting on my dressing table. I use this one the same as I do all the other dry shampoos in this range. It is really important to give the can a good shake between each and EVER spray and not just at the beginning as the contents settle really quickly.
A tin never lasts me very long and I don’t use it very often, and I think this is probably the only downfall of these dry shampoos. This products works by soaking up the greasy roots and though it is supposed to be suitable for all hair colours, it does leave a bit of a powdery look to the hair, no matter how much you brush it though so I am pleased my own hair is light rather than brunette.
It washes out well and smells lovely and fresh and clean and does not irritate the scalp.
Of course, nothing beats freshly washed hair, but this is a great little products to have on hand for those in between days.
When I am looking for an easy, quick dry shampoo Batiste is the line I go to. This dry shampoo is my favourite one out of the whole line. It smells very nice, something that you want when you forget to wash your hair one day and it is very effective at getting rid of greasiness, which is helpful because my hair gets extremely greasy if I don't stick to my routine. It can leave powdery white marks in your hair so you do have to make sure you thoroughly rub it in but they are very easy to get rid of and it lasts all day which is a huge advantage. The bottle is very attractive and pleasing to the eye. As much as I like this however, like most products, it has disadvantages. I hardly ever use my cans, using them maybe once every two months but I find that they run out very quickly, possibly because I have thick, long hair. I would suggest anyone with thick, long hair to buy multiple bottles or use very sparingly, as they are quite expensive. I also seem to get a very itchy scalp when I use it and have to wash it out as soon as I get home from wherever I've been. If you have a sensitive scalp I would not recommend using this product, try and find something gentler or stay away from dry shampoos in general. My experience with this product is very good and I would certainly recommend that others try it, as it has worked for me plus people that I have recommended it to and I am sure that it will work for others too. I would give this product 5 stars but the price is quite expensive.
I had never tried dry shampoo until after my accident, I was in a job that was physical so there was never a single day that I did not start out the morning without a shower and because my hair always gets greasy quickly it was always just easier to wash it daily. After my accident I moved to baths and now I only wash it every other day as such I started using a dry shampoo on days when the roots are too greasy.
Batise was the first company I tried and I have not moved away from them, they are lots of really nice scents to their product and they work really well!
The Packing ....
The product comes in a tin that resembles a large aerosol tin, I actually do not think they are the best looking of products and remind me of a large cheap hairspray tin, they are decorated with nice designs showing what scent the spray is but that is the only thing that the tins have going for them. The tins are a thin plastic lid that just pulls off to access an old style aerosol cap.
The Product ....
The product is a spray that you spray onto the roots of your hair then brush in, this somehow soaks up the grease on the roots and leaves your hair feeling clean again.
There are several different scents to choose from I have used a few but this is one of my favourites, it smells sweet like a mix of cherries and strawberries to me.
To Use ....
You simply hold the tin around 30cm from the roots of your head and spray lightly then brush or work in with your fingers. It is very important not to spray too much or you end up looking like you just tipped a load of talc onto your head because the spray comes out white when you spray it too close or heavily.
A normal sized tin of Batiste is around £2.99 and contains 200ml but they do small handbag sized ones that I tend to buy because I like to mix up my scents and often they are on 3 for 2 in Boots.
Does it work? ....
Yes I find that this product does do what it is meant to and make my hair feel cleaner. It does not leave any nasty residue and leaves it smelling fresh looking clean.
I really love my Batiste dry shampoo's, they smell really nice and do a great job. For me they are 4 out of 5 and they only loose a mark because if you get to close you can have problems.
I first started using dry shampoo after I had my first child and frankly I didn't have time to be washing my hair every day anymore. I can't believe I used to wash it that frequently, the waste of energy, time, shampoo! Never mind the fact that's not good for your hair. Anyway, I love all things cherry so this particular version of the dry shampoo really appealed to me. It comes in many different varieties, some of which are for specific hair colours.
At the moment I have a 200ml can which I got when it was on offer at Boots, 3 for 2, otherwise I would normally buy the larger can as it is better value for money. I tend to use it only about twice a week so a can lasts me ages.
The product comes in a pressurized can which you need to shake vigorously before use, and is then supposed to be applied from a distance of about 30cm. I'm not sure I manage that when I'm spraying the back of my head though. You then massage it in a bit with your fingertips and carry on as usual. Ta da!
I find it really effective at reducing any greasy look and it smells lovely. You have to be careful not to use too much as otherwise you're in danger of ending up with white hair, which is not the look I'm aiming for. I would have given it 5 stars but if it's not on offer I do think it's a bit expensive.
I have been a user of Batiste Dry Shampoo for years and it is something I buy quite regularly.
When I was scanning the shelf to buy some a while back this really stood and caught my eye as the can has a lovely design. It's really retro and patterned with a ditsy cherry print on a minty coloured background. I love all tings retro so this has been a regular purchase ever since.
Batiste is great to use if you are in rush in the morning and haven't got time to wash your hair before dashing out as a quick spray of this banishes oily roots and leaves hair feeling and looking clean and fresh, it's also great for when your hair is feeling a little flat and lifeless as this adds a nice boost of volume, making your hair easier to style.
I mainly use it for the second reason as I find my hair often falls flat no matter how much hair spray I use to keep it looking styled and nice! I spray this, holding the can slightly away from my head, and aim it at the roots, whist quickly moving my hair to reveal the underneath hair to get it there too, I then use my fingers to brush it through and style it however I want. It really helps, and my hair will hold a style much better with the added help of this.
All the dry shampoos do the same job and to be honest all smell quite familiar but this does have a sweet cherry hint that is really nice.
I hair blonde hair so don't notice any white residue on my hair but on dark hair it can be visible so I would recommend that you make sure it is properly worked into the hair before heading out.
It can be bought for around £2 a can.
I hope this helps, thanks for reading x
